@KamalaHarris how come nobody ever points out that for all the interviews the former president does on Fox, he never does any of them on camera? He always phones in. Is he ashamed of what he looks like when he goes on a rant? Is he afraid to show his face? Just seems #weird

@OpenAI very disappointing to see the lack of accessibility on the website. Unlabeled buttons, non-tagged HTML. These are fundamental accessibility issues that make the site challenging and almost impossible for blind users. Inclusivity in design and coding is basic

@DanaSchwartzzz @NobleBloodTales Good thing you weren’t defensive. Because that would’ve been just annoying.

Happy Friday, fellow writers and readers. Looking for new online mags to read. Any recommendations in #LiteraryFiction and #SpeculativeFiction or just cool stuff. Thanks! #WritingCommunity

@DIRECTV wondering why audio description is available on the satellite transmission for the channels that offer it, but not on the DIRECTV Now app. I’d love to subscribe to the app, but this is a dealbreaker for me. #Blind #Accessibility #AudioDescription

I’m so excited!! I got a response from one of the agents I queried asking to see the entire manuscript. I know that this is not a guarantee that she will take it, especially since she pointed that out, but to finally have a positive response. Wow!!! #WritingCommunity

The hallmark of your 40th birthday is yet another breakup. You pretend to shop for wedding rings before a Tinder date. Your best job so far is substitute teaching. Reality still bites for 3 Gen Xers, but when nothing ever changes is when everything starts to happen. #PitMad #A

When you finally shake off the writers block and start something new. Not because somebody is telling you you have to, but because the idea itself has finally percolated and has to be poured from your brain to the paper. #WritingCommunity

Rejection letters? Not a fan. OK, back to it. In a minute. #WritingCommunity

Time travel stories are low hanging fruit. But I still have always wanted to write a good one. #WritingCommunity

If a man writes a book with a first person femaleViewpoint, is it by default suspect by or offensive to female readers? Can a man write with a female voice? Should he? #WritingCommunity

The new #accessibility options for #iOS14 look to have some great new features, including some incredible AI tech that helps describe images and improperly or uncoded HTML and Java/Swift elements on apps and web pages. I’ll post a link as soon as I can find one.

I just want to read one story where the weather isn’t a stand-in for plot or character. Please, I beg of you, no more impending storm clouds, ominous thunder or unexpected rain . Just once, I want to read about good news happening during a torrential rainstorm. #WritingCommunity

Here’s the scary part. I wrote a book. I’m trying to get it represented. I’m trying to follow the age old adage of continuing to write. But nothing is coming to me. This is scarier than writing the book in the first place. #WritingCommunity #WritersBlock

@DanaSchwartzzz Nice to know I’m only 520 years away from being hot

@omithewaffler Vc We never really locked down. We spent March, April and May debating whether businesses like GameStop and Pizza Hut Are essential. We spent Memorial Day through July 4 At the beach. And now here we are. Not rocket science. My lockdown is meaningless if enough people ignore it.

I’m reading My Year of Rest and Relaxation. It’s the first book I’ve read in years that I may stay up all night to finish. As a would-be novelist, I’m feeling pretty humbled.
