Tucker Carlson Just Backed Abdul El-Sayed. “I Wouldn’t Vote for Mike Rogers at Gunpoint.”

Tucker Carlson built his audience on MAGA. He used that movement to replace Fox, pack arenas of listeners, and sell himself as the voice of America First. Now he’s using that same audience to kneecap a Republican Senate candidate in Michigan and talk up a socialist Democrat.

On his show with Saagar Enjeti, Carlson said he “wouldn’t vote for Mike Rogers at gunpoint.” He called Rogers a “tool of Israel and the intelligence agencies” and the most pro-Israel neocon they could find. Enjeti piled on, mocking Rogers for losing Michigan in 2024 in the same year Trump carried the state.

Then they flipped the script onto Abdul El-Sayed. They praised him for “taking on” AIPAC. Enjeti said El-Sayed’s campaign is “America First,” that he talks about health care and tax dollars instead of endless foreign wars, and that standing in front of a giant American flag is “almost Trumpian.” Carlson agreed: “It is literally Trumpian.”
El-Sayed is a Bernie-aligned Democrat who just won a socialist-insurgent primary. Trump has called him a communist who hates Jews and Israel and is backing Rogers.

Michigan is a Senate seat that can decide control of the chamber. Carlson looked at that race and told a MAGA audience the Republican is unfit at gunpoint and the Democrat sounds like Trump.

That is the con. Tucker rode MAGA when it made him the biggest name in conservative media. He borrowed the language, the grievances, and the viewers. Now that he has the platform, he is telling those same viewers a left-wing Senate candidate is the real America First choice because of Israel.

You can dislike Rogers. You can debate foreign aid. What you cannot do is spend years harvesting MAGA loyalty, then treat a Michigan Senate race like a content experiment and pretend a socialist is Trump. Carlson didn’t discover America First this week. He monetized it.

Michigan voters should remember which one actually has to live with the result.
