@cherryk0la Referencing (2008, 2015 ,2019) doesn’t automatically make every peaceful protest in 2026 an act of afrophobia. Those attacks were wrong, full stop. but a peaceful march calling on government to enforce immigration laws is a different discussion.
@cherryk0la Gina you’re saying people should redirect their frustrations to government. That’s literally what a peaceful march is supposed to do. So what’s the issue with citizens peacefully demanding that immigration laws be enforced?
@cherryk0la I think we’re skipping a step. Instead of only asking why citizens were “chasing” illegal foreigners, we should also ask why they felt compelled to protest illegal immigration in the first place. If people believe the government isn’t enforcing its own immigration and labour laws
