you can’t live by everyone else’s beliefs and values. you have to develop and explore your own. their opinions aren’t a soundboard of objective truth. their opinions are a soundboard of their personal truth.
One way to build up confidence is by keeping promises you make to yourself. If you always let yourself down, you’ll start feeling like there’s nothing stable to depend on internally. Confidence boils down to having trust in your own abilities. That’s the antidote to insecurity.
it is a privilege to get to know yourself all over again, to leave behind who you used to be and meet who you want to be, to reintroduce yourself to the world as a new embodiment of who you knew you always were, to reacquaint yourself with your magic.
Decorate your environment, wear your best clothes, spend time in nature, plate your meals with care, read insightful books, cultivate your style, nourish loved ones, discuss interesting topics, prioritise your health — maximise beauty by creating it within and around yourself.
when dog owners apologize for their dog running up to me at the park… like i literally go to the park in hopes that every single dog there will come and say hi to me lol
let them.. BUT be transparent with them about how it made you feel / effected you. we perpetuate peoples ignorance to unhealthy habits by not speaking our truth.
Friends leave you out? Let them. Partner tries to cheat? Let them. Someone ghosts you? Let them. Trying to change who people are and how they treat you is a waste of energy. When you let people do what they want it reveals who they truly are and you can decide what to do about it
