@AnikaFreeindeed @TSCS_ That blog you wrote is incredible! That's exactly what we need in classrooms. It's history, anthropology, fine motor skills, math, beauty, and participation in creation! Weaving can tie us all together. When you're at the @TSCS_ Conference this summer we should talk about it.
@AnikaFreeindeed @TSCS_ We were between sheep when you visited last summer, but for three years we've kept two ewes on campus. Our girls now are the friendliest, sweetest sheep, and have the most beautiful wool!
@AnikaFreeindeed @TSCS_ The practical arts are so underrepresented in schools, including classical schools, and they are such a wealth of global cultural inheritance!
@AnikaFreeindeed @TSCS_ Have you ever considered working on a classical curriculum for fiber arts? It's my passion project and I'm only in my first year of it, but my students are being transformed by their love for weaving even in this first year.
@jennfrey Practical shoes, nice baggy clothes, minimal aerobic dancing so as not to get out of breath which results in better singing-- halftime show is improved by pregnancy.
@jennfrey@profrhodrilewis I thought the job for the orange cat in the corner was "naked celebrity." Which checks out, actually (also, the cat IS naked, why??)
@JeremyTate41 My dad called and asked me who would take the paintings. We were going to take them at @TSCS_ but we wanted them to remain local in CA if possible. @TAC's leadership readily accepted the entire collection, and I believe some of them are now on display. Thank God!
@JeremyTate41 ...notifying them that the paintings were to be taken down and archived. But my (Protestant) dad had included restrictions 20 years ago in the deed of gift predicting this might happen, stipulating that CSUCI must return the paintings if taken down. So last year... (3/4)
@hiimbobbi Alcatraz Island and all the escape attempts, particularly Frank Morris and Anglin brothers. I have been there 5 times. It is my favorite island.
