In my opinion, the average weekly retention rate of new users for a chain is 10-20%. Anything above that is great, while anything below is considered poor. 👀
📊 Now, what's the average retention rate of @SeiNetwork's new users each week?
Let's Find Out

Folks are spreading fake news that Sei v2 only addresses one thing, "parallelizing the execution environment" in isolation.
This is completely false. The Sei v2 proposal addresses every part of the stack, including state access, state commitment, and state storage. This is vital in achieving the high performance we've seen in benchmark tests for v2
SeiDB uses a memory mapped iavl tree. The iavl tree is stored as 3 files on disk (kv pairs, leaf nodes, branch nodes), and nodes are cached in memory as possible.
This has several advantages:
1) SeiDB has a ~60% reduction in state storage bc less metadata needs to be stored. In particular, you no longer need to store data such as (version, height, lefthash, righthash) for branch nodes, which makes the size of the state tree much smaller
2) SeiDB results in a 1200% speedup for state sync. This is bc less data needs to be written on import (due to less metadata as specified above) and you can parallelize writes (to the 3 files mentioned above)
3) SeiDB has an async write to the DB. This results in a 287x decrease in commit time, which helps decrease overall time to finality
The work behind SeiDB is a collaborative effort that's been over a year in the making. Shout out to @cosmossdk and @cronosapp for their help
