Essuguo likely leaves on loan
Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho has completed a season-long loan move to Premier League club Aston Villa, with an obligation for the move to become permanent next summer should certain criteria be met.

Electronic Arts has officially begun teasing "The Grounds," the brand-new open-world social hub introduced in EA Sports FC 27.
What We Know About "The Grounds":
* Interactive Neighborhood: Functioning similarly to NBA 2K's The City, players freely control custom avatars outside traditional menus to meet up, showcase cosmetics, and explore football culture districts inspired by cities like Paris and London.
* Mini-Games & Casual Pitches: The open world features pick-up street pitches, free-for-all games, and casual activities such as football tennis.
* Story Connections: Leaks indicate The Journey protagonist Alex Hunter returns in The Grounds to act as a mentor for player progression.
Bayer Leverkusen are demanding upwards of €30M for Kerim Alajbegović, but Chelsea have completely taken control of the race! 🚨
Atalanta were on the verge of completing a deal, but as soon as Alajbegović heard about concrete interest from Chelsea, he put everything on hold to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
He has already given his green light to join us, and club-to-club talks with Leverkusen are set to open shortly.
Despite interest from multiple European sides, Xabi Alonso’s direct backing has put Chelsea in pole position to secure the Bosnian international! 💙🔥
Let’s get this done!
Adam Bate: "In one-on-one situations, nobody is better than Lacroix at winning the ball back.
He is the only player in the Premier League to have faced 50 or more such situations in the past two seasons and won the ball more often than not."

Gavi does not think Leandro Paredes should be suspended for his behaviour after the World Cup final.
"I don't think he should be suspended. Football has a more aggressive side to it sometimes. The most logical thing would have been to send him off during the match, and that should have been the end of it."
Diogo Dalot really posted this picture twice on Instagram just to zoom in on the side-eye his daughter was giving Cristiano Ronaldo! 😂👀
Even Ronaldo’s teammates' kids aren't phased by some people's goat!
Absolutely priceless reaction! 🇵🇹😆
Archie Brown is officially added to the left-back shortlist! 🚨
Chelsea are tracking the Fenerbahçe full-back as a smart, value-driven alternative alongside options like Pep Chavarría and Lewis Hall. 💙
While no official release clause has been triggered yet, his raw athleticism, defensive physicality, and attacking output in Turkey make him a very intriguing profile for Xabi Alonso’s system!
Players Linked / LB Options for Chelsea
* Pep Chavarría (Rayo Vallecano)
* Lewis Hall (Newcastle United)
* Álvaro Carreras (Benfica)
* Maxi Araújo (Sporting CP)
* Archie Brown (Gent)
* Valentín Barco (Internal / Chelsea squad)
For me, this decision comes down to three main options: Pep Chavarría, Valentín Barco, or bringing back Lewis Hall. 💙
If we want a proven, physical full-back who fits Xabi Alonso’s system naturally, Pep Chavarría is an ideal target.
But if we save that budget to strengthen elsewhere, Barco already has the technical quality, passing range, and grit to lock down that LWB position!
We also definitely have to consider Lewis Hall in the mix, he knows the club inside out, has matured so much, and fits high-tempo, modern football seamlessly.
While players like Carreras or Araújo are linked, Pep, Barco, or Hall give us the exact directness and tactical flexibility Alonso demands.
Whether we complete the move for Chavarría, bring Hall back, or fully trust Barco, our left side is going to be lethal next season! 🔵🔥
What’s your pick, Chelsea fans? Pep, Barco, or Hall?
Adam Bate: "Lacroix has emerged as a leader, becoming a vice-captain at Palace. He is popular with teammates and supporters - even going so far as to buy a drink for every supporter in row five at Selhurst Park at the opening home game in August to mark his shirt number."
The narrative against Lionel Messi and Argentina from international media and social media feels completely targeted at this point! 🇦🇷
Ever since the World Cup, the constant wave of biased framing, forced controversy, and amplified hostility surrounding the squad has been unreal.
It goes way beyond normal football debate, it feels like a deliberate smear campaign to diminish everything Messi and this team have accomplished on the pitch.
No matter what they do, the goalposts keep getting moved! 🗣️⚽️
Maxence Lacroix is closing on a move to join Chelsea!
It is understood that Disasi has been discussed as a season-long loan as the two clubs negotiate a deal.
