@P320X5Legion@ScottMcCreaWest Yes, by definition, yes. I will assume you watched the film, so no need for me to provide examples. Also, don’t want to ruin it for those who have not seen it. For the record, I like the film.
@theblaze Out of state journalists wouldn’t understand, but chickens cost Drummond the election. Over lay the counties with commercial poultry production to the counties that voted for Mazzie. People don’t like it when livelihoods are threatened.
@TracesofTexas I remember a card my mom got when I was a child from Texarkana. It was a guy leading a donkey across the state line. It said “I’m in Texas but my Ass is in Arkansas.
I don’t post on here enough, but now available for purchase is Book 2 in the Green Country Series. Call is the Dogs is my favorite so far and sets the stage for a new generation of characters coming in Book 3.

Was told by an editor that omniscient POV is not in the current style and should be avoided at all cost. I know I’m probably behind the times. I wanted to say “Well, when writers wrote in omniscient POV, people purchased and read books.”
I’ve learned over the years that when someone says “Insert compliment or empathy” then follow up with “But, insert counter point“ you can disregard whatever that person said before the ”but.” They do not mean it. They are gaslighting you. I only started using social media to network with writers and support those writers and small businesses. I’ve refused to comment or share political post. I can no longer remain silent. Full disclosure, I’m a registered Independent and hold a public office “School Board.”
It saddens me to see people I know condone the political assassination of Charlie Kirk. We are at a turning point. Politically there is no longer a Right or Left in this country. There is only Good vs Evil. I do not equate one party to one virtue or lack thereof. If you condone violence, you have chosen poorly. If you condone the destruction of private property, you have chosen poorly. If you condone the harming of children, you have chosen poorly.
Charlie Kirk was unapologetically a man of faith. Evil got a win. Good can still triumph. Good must be triumphant. We can see that it does. People of faith have been tested before. We’ve been fed to lions. We have toiled under the master’s whip. We’ve been exterminated. We are still here. We still have a chance.
