Peter Obi continues to expose us, not by making noise, but simply by being himself. He has exhumed everything that’s wrong with us as citizens.
We’ve become so conditioned to seeing power expressed through arrogance and showmanship that we now find humility unsettling. We can't seem to process the idea that power can be handled quietly, responsibly, even gently.
Obi continues to remind us, again and again, of just how broken our understanding of leadership has become. In a country where power is equated with privilege, and status is often worn like armor, Obi’s quiet consistency unsettles many, not because he offends, but because he doesn’t fit.
The recent viral moment of Peter Obi serving food at a Catholic Church event was, for many, a shock. For others, it was a stunt. But for those who understood the context, it was profoundly symbolic.
He wasn’t pretending. We’re just not used to leadership that is comfortable being human.
It took me back to a deeply personal experience during a leadership retreat I attended years ago in the UK, a program organized for business leaders and social entrepreneurs, funded by the World Economic Forum. We were brought together for ten days of deceleration, to strip leadership down to its essence and reflect on who we are without our titles and positions.
In filling my profile for the event, I requested to be addressed as Dr. Arowolo. I showed up with my full academic identity, and carried it with a bit of flair. Everyone called me "Doc." I spoke as often as my opinions were sought. I felt distinguished, and to some degree, important.
But one of the rules of the retreat was that we were not allowed to introduce ourselves by our jobs or any enterprise we lead. We could talk about anything, family, values, hobbies, but not what we did professionally.
There was a quiet man in our group, warm but reserved. We called him Pete. No suffix. No preface. Just Pete. He didn’t speak much, but when he did, it was measured, deep, and strikingly wise. I connected with him over meals and walks. I admired his mind, but never knew his background.
On the final day, we were finally allowed to say what we did.
And that’s when I discovered that “Pete,” this gentle, insightful man, held a PhD in disruptive innovation and was a professor at one of the most prestigious universities in the world. A true global authority in his field.
I was floored. Not just by the revelation, but by the humility.
Here I was, parading my title, while he carried substance without a label.
It changed something in me.
And it’s the same quiet shift Peter Obi is provoking in our collective consciousness.
Sometimes, the loudest voice in the room isn’t the most powerful one.
Sometimes, the one serving food is the one whose leadership we need the most.
If Obi unsettles you, maybe it’s not because of what he’s doing, but because of what he represents: a different kind of power. A kind we’re not used to.
And maybe… it’s time we got used to it.
POLITICS OF GMO IN NIGERIA:

FRENCH & GERMAN FARMERS FORCED TO DESTROY CROPS FROM THOUSANDS OF HECTARES OF FARMLANDS, AFTER GMOs WERE FOUND IN THEIR BAYER/MONSANTO SEEDS - DON'T RUSH. READ SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY...FIRST PUBLISHED FEB. 7, 2019 ON RT.
French and German farmers have been forced to dig up thousands of hectares of rapeseed fields after authorities found an illegal GMO strain mixed in with the natural seeds they’d bought from Bayer-Monsanto.
Authorities discovered the illicit seeds in three separate batches of rapeseed seeds last fall, but the public has only just been notified. While Bayer issued a recall, by the time the farmers learned of it some of the seeds had already been planted, covering 8,000 ha in France and 3,000 ha in Germany.
Bayer-Monsanto estimated the number of rogue seeds at just about .005 percent of the total volume of rapeseed seeds sold to both nations under the brand name Dekalb, but each country has a ban on GMO cultivation, with strict penalties for “accidental” contamination of standard crops. (PLEASE READ AGAIN - FRANCE & GERMANY EACH HAVE A BAN ON GMO CULTIVATION WITH “STRICT PENALTIES” FOR EVEN ACCIDENTAL CONTAMINATION. KEEP IN MIND THAT BAYER WHICH NOW OWNS MONSANTO, IS A GERMAN COMPANY)
The agrochemical giant refused to estimate the total cost of the GMO contamination, which knocks out not only this season’s crop but also the next season’s, as farmers will be barred from growing rapeseed next year “to avoid re-emergence of the GMO strain,” according to Bayer-Monsanto’s French COO Catherine Lamboley. They offered to compensate farmers €2,000 per hectare, which would work out to about €20 million between both countries. (HOLD ON - THE AMOUNT OF CONTAMINATION HERE IS .005% BUT FOR SUCH A TINY FRACTION OF CONTAMINATION, FARMING SEASON FOR THE NEXT YEAR IS RUINED, WILL NOT TAKE PLACE BECAUSE IF NOT, THE GMOs WILL REEMERGE. SO AFTER DESTROYING 12,000 HECTARES OF RAPESEEDS BECAUSE OF .005% CONTAMINATION, THE EFFECT STILL LINGERS AND CAUSES THE COUNTRIES TO SUSPEND FARMING IN THE NEXT SEASON. THIS IS WHAT THEY’RE TELLING AFRICANS TO ACCEPT! AND DID YOU SEE THAT - 2,000 EUROS PER HECTAR?!)
The cause of the contamination is unknown, Lamboley said, claiming the seeds were produced in Argentina “in a GMO-free area” and declaring that the company “has decided to immediately stop all rapeseed production in Argentina.” The rogue GMO seeds were of a variety grown in Canada that is banned in Europe. (REMEMBER, THIS IS THE STUFF WE'RE ENTERTAINING IN NIGERIA, TO THE POINT OF FINDING JUSTIFICATION FOR ITS CONSUMPTION. IMAGINE!)
Bayer acquired Monsanto for $63 billion last year at a low point in the reputation of the chemical company. The company found itself in the legal spotlight again this week, as French farmer Paul François, who has been fighting Monsanto in court for 12 years, faced his last appeal after a court overturned two previous rulings in his favor. François alleges Monsanto’s Lasso weedkiller caused his disabilities, which include amnesia, vertigo, seizures, irritability and even recurring comas. American groundskeeper Dewayne Johnson, who claimed Monsanto’s glyphosate weed killer Roundup caused his cancer, won $78 million in a history-making verdict last year that has opened the door to over 9,000 other lawsuits pending against the company. France banned Lasso in 2007, and last month a French court canceled authorization to market Roundup, citing health concerns. While glyphosate is legal in France, its use is strictly regulated and President Emmanuel Macron has pledged to outlaw it by 2021. (WELL, GLYPHOSATE WAS EVENTUALLY BANNED AND IS STILL BANNED IN FRANCE. BUT DID YOU NOTICE THAT ALL THE FARMERS WHO SUED THE COMPANY EVENTUALLY WON THEIR CASES? 9,000 OTHER LAWSUITS! AND SOMEONE IS SITTING TIGHT IN NIGERIA ASKING FOR PROOF THAT MONSANTO’S WEEDKILLERS ARE BEYOND DANGEROUS TO HUMAN HEALTH - BOTH OF THE FARMERS AND THE CONSUMERS.)
In my honest opinion, everyone advocating for the proliferation of GMOs (cultivation and importation) should be treated as a terrorist worst than Boko Haram. They’re literally advocating for the mass destruction and depopulation of our entire enclaves. This is wickedness on another level. We must rise up everywhere and defend our rights to live. Farmers in our villages must be personally educated and exposed to these truths. In Northern Nigeria, where most of the food consumed in Nigeria come from, many of the farmers there aren’t educated and so many of them have fallen for this madness. The ones who farmed in organic crops have beens rendered useless and even homeless due to terrorist activities targeting these farms, allegedly sponsored by these same funders of GMO proliferation. See the connection? And after losing their organic farms, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, they get funding to return to farming, but this time, farming in GMO seeds! This is happening across board, mostly in the North. They are actively modifying all our nutritionally potent crops and seeds, removing the healing and disease-fighting nutrients in them, and coercing our farmers into mass producing these modified crops for consumption. We need volunteers who will visit these farms and farmers and tell them the truth. We need a task force that will operate in different regions of Nigeria - call it Agricultural or Nutritional Task Force or Vigilantes. In the same way we form vigilantes against killer herdsmen and Boko Haram, we should on this matter. It's that serious.
We also need to start thinking of how to even redeem the hundreds of thousands of hectares of farm lands that are now being contaminated and may stay contaminated for years to come, even after discontinuing this satanic mission. People need to get sufficiently angry about this - being used again as guinea pigs for globalists' deadly experiments, because if we don’t, in the next five to ten years, we will record far more cancer deaths than malaria in Nigeria and parts of Africa. #SayNOtoGMOs #REJECTtheGATESofHELL and all his blood money! Ah… Okoro, you guys keep disturbing my sleep.
You know, there’s a special kind of embarrassment, an exquisite humiliation that occurs when a man, desperately trying to sound enlightened, stumbles into a conversation far beyond the grasp of his intellectual ligaments. And sadly, Okoro, you are that man.
You sit behind your cracked Tecno screen, feverishly regurgitating tabloid half-truths and internet gossip like a broken oracle of bad data, convinced you've unearthed a scandal: @PeterObi Peter Obi… offshore company… British Virgin Islands… his daughter’s name… concealment!
How adorable.
Let me offer you a gentle education because clearly, the world of offshore finance, international corporate law, and ethical governance is as foreign to you as civility is to a bandit.
Peter Obi registered Gabriella Investment Limited, yes, in the British Virgin Islands. An action neither illegal, nor unprecedented. In fact, it's laughably common. Offshore entities are not the exclusive playgrounds of crooks and criminals. They're tools, legal, strategic instruments used by companies and individuals across the globe. Apple. Google. The Crown Prince of Denmark. Hell, even your favorite pastors, yes, the ones who promise you miracle wealth while filing sermons through shell corporations.
But you, Okoro... you wouldn’t know that. Because to you, "offshore" is a synonym for "sinister." A dangerous delusion. You lack the curiosity to explore the nuance and the humility to ask questions. You saw "British Virgin Islands" and your mind leapt, like a moth to a kerosene lamp straight into allegations of theft and concealment. Yet, not once did you pause to ask: Was any public money missing? Was there a breach of law? Conflict of interest? Misappropriation?
No. None. Zero. No money stolen. No state funds diverted. No contract inflated. Just a man, Peter Obi, placing personal assets in a secure, internationally compliant trust structure, named after his daughter. A trust. It’s called intergenerational estate planning. Legacy preservation. A concept your political heroes who loot now and pray for amnesia later wouldn’t comprehend.
You see, while others were using shell companies to funnel stolen billions into yachts, Swiss chalets, and champagne-fueled orgies in Marbella, Obi used his offshore account to preserve the modest earnings of a pre-governorship businessman. And you dare call that scandal?
You accuse him of “hiring foreign experts.” My dear Okoro, that’s called due diligence. That’s what leaders do when they aren’t hiring their cousins to launder stolen constituency funds.
The truth is simple: you are offended not by Peter Obi’s actions, but by his integrity because it reminds you of everything you and your idols are not. You hate him because he mirrors your inadequacies, because his modesty is louder than your looters' luxury.
And what of Gabriella, the daughter? You shout: “She was only twelve!” as though putting a child’s name on a legal trust is a sacrilege. It’s not. It’s a strategy. Families with vision do it. It’s called setting up the next generation, not stealing their future like your beloved political class has done with fuel subsidies, public universities, and pensions.
So no, Okoro… there is no smoking gun. Only your sweaty palms gripping a toy pistol of misinformation, firing blanks into a conversation far too exalted for your comprehension.
You don’t understand international finance. You don’t understand governance. And, most embarrassingly, you don’t understand Peter Obi.
But don’t worry… you’re not supposed to.
You were never meant to recognize a statesman in a nation addicted to strongmen. You mistake quiet competence for concealment. Simplicity for weakness. And legality for trickery. That’s what happens when your heroes are loud, lavish, and lawless.
So here’s my advice, Okoro: The next time you decide to wade into matters of such complexity, wear intellectual floaters. Or better yet, stay ashore. Because deep waters require more than your WhatsApp group credentials.
As for Peter Obi, until your messiahs can match his footprint in governance, in ethics, in vision, please, be silent. Let the men who build legacies speak, while those who peddle ignorance retreat to their corners.
We have something called the EFCC, ICPC, and many other global watchdog groups, and they all evaluated and examined the Pandora papers and found that Obi did nothing wrong. He was at the invitation of EFCC and ICPC numerous times; you can also find the records. I deal in facts. In scalpel-like precision. In exposing the rot.
And today, Okoro, you are the rot.
Dear Nigerians‼️ Pls do not joke with this warning. Read & share widely. This is not about politics. Tinubu's relentless pursuit of foreign aid threatens to plunge Nigeria into its darkest era yet, a pit from which recovery may be impossible.
GMOs will fuck us all!!

Finally someone is saying what my ears have been wanting to hear, this just the reality of the whole thing his excellency Atiku should play a role of a father in the nation, so that we can rescue this country from the hands of this failed government of APC.
