AMA's validator set is becoming fully permissionless

Raditz update v1.5.5 kicks off a major transition in how validators qualify for the network.

At epoch 750, three validator categories go live temporarily:

→ Existing designated validators
→ Validators backed by at least 1M AMA through Yield Vaults
→ The top 33 uPoW solvers based on submitted solutions

Designated validators remain temporarily included for continuity but they no longer receive the previous automatic community-fund emission allocation.

Then, at epoch 760, existing designated validators are scheduled to be fully removed from the validator set.

What follows:

→ No hardcoded validator addresses
→ No dependence on protocol-designated operators
→ Validator access earned exclusively through Yield Vault backing or uPoW participation

The resulting validator set will consist only of validators backed by 1M+ AMA through Yield Vaults, and the top 33 uPoW solvers based on demonstrated compute contribution.

In practical terms, this changes how someone becomes a validator on AMA. Rather than being added to a fixed list, validator status is now determined by two measurable criteria: how much AMA is committed through Yield Vaults, or how much verified compute is contributed through uPoW. Anyone meeting either threshold can qualify, and anyone who stops meeting it no longer does.
