Many Kenyans understandably ask why revisit 2007 now? The answer is simple. Because the evidence has changed.
Previously, the allegations relied on witness testimony, commission reports, and circumstantial evidence.
Now the individuals involved appear on camera narrating the mechanics of the electoral manipulation themselves.
This fundamentally alters the evidentiary landscape.
The evidence is direct, audiovisual, voluntary, and the witnesses are still alive.
There is therefore no legal barrier preventing prosecution today.
The Affordable Housing Programme continues to reshape urban centres, with the completion of the Boma Yangu Bomet Estate (Phase 1), a 220-unit development in Bomet Town.
Strategically positioned near the Centre for Devolved Governance and Bomet University College, the project forms part of a wider urban renewal momentum redefining the town's growth and residential landscape.
The estate is now complete and ready for handover, with prospective buyers advised to check and book units via: https://t.co/bTijuFcUMM
Designed to support dignified living, the development features essential infrastructure including a tarmacked access road, secure perimeter wall with gatehouses, paved walkways and adequate parking.
Social amenities such as a kindergarten, community centre, children's play areas, landscaped green spaces and integrated shopfront stalls with a commercial centre create a balanced live-work environment for residents.
The project is expected to stimulate local commerce, support population growth and strengthen Bomet's emergence as a fast-expanding urban hub.
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration has supported implementation through security planning and orderly settlement processes that enable stable, well-managed communities.
Building on the success of Phase 1, Phase 2 is planned on the same site and will deliver an additional 1,600 housing units, further accelerating the town's transformation. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘀 - https://t.co/8kvBXX6T4D
Under the renewed commitment of H.E. President @WilliamsRuto to re-position agricultural production as the backbone of Kenya's economy and advance the nation towards food security, the Nandi Dairy Cooperative Union (NDCU) Milk Processing Plant has become a flagship model of farmer-led value addition and market empowerment.
Launched in 2019, the Union brings together a group of farmers to collectively market milk, ensure fair pricing, supported by National Government regulations that protect farmers from exploitation, and create avenues for value-added products.
The Cooperative processes milk through pasteurization and sterilization, producing Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) milk with 90-day shelf life and fermented products; yoghurt and Lala, with shelf lives of up to 30 days.
Milk is received only if it meets strict quality standards, then tapped into silos, filtered, measured via flow meters, chilled and subjected to pasteurization.
The facility operates five silos with a combined capacity of 20,000 litres but receives up to 100,000–200,000 litres daily.
Cream separation and packaging of yoghurts into 250ml and 500ml cups and other dairy products complete the value-addition process.
Currently, the union distributes products across six counties; Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Siaya, Bungoma, Busia and soon Kisumu, using a network of distributors and direct sales to supermarkets.
The Cooperative also engages interns from various universities, alongside a core staff and other casual workers, providing both employment and skills development.
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration supports the Union by safeguarding the facility and ensuring smooth operations, contributing to a secure and stable environment for farmers to thrive. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘀 - https://t.co/uN9ruDzW3o
It may appear as though 2023 was just yesterday, but our stand for democracy is already written into history. As J.F Kennedy said, “Don’t ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
This is the spirit that birthed MDD.
The changing landscape of Kibra is the Bottom-Up path towards the Singapore Dream. Lifting Kenya from the third world into the first, starting with the people at the base.
