Do something for yourself this weekend. Move, play, reset. You might be surprised by what you discover.
I’ve been leaning more intentionally into my wellness journey and sports has always been at the center of that for me. There’s something about being around the game that resets you. It brings everything back to effort, discipline and character. I still believe you learn more about a person in 90 minutes on the field than in nine hours in an office.
Spending time at the @TheBudoLeague with the @BIFA_2016 team we sponsor meant a lot. It was a tight game where a few moments could have changed everything. We missed some big chances and yes it stings, but that is part of the game. What stayed with me most was everything around it. The conversations on the sidelines about strategy and resilience, the honesty, the energy and the laughs about the beautiful game.
It reminded me why I love football. You can step away from playing but the game never really leaves you.
Yesterday was a real brutal. Running from Kla to masaka, over 15hrs on the road from midnight to 4pm, 130km distance covered on a busy road during festival days!.., all was good until I hit Lwera with no hydration, muscle pulls and alot changed but managed to make it to masaka.
@AkatuhuriraJM@TimKalyegira Ask yourself how many of your classmates actually made use of the reference books provided for the different course units you studied at the university. Ask them if they actually understood what they were studying and its application in the real world.
@AkatuhuriraJM@TimKalyegira We always tend to blame the system but we overlook our own incompetence as students of the system. People in South East Asia are studying the same things but they think and have a completely different view of education and what they want out of it.
@AkatuhuriraJM@TimKalyegira It wasn't a waste of time. You just haven't applied the knowledge you gained for your economic benefit and the benefit of those around you.
@TimKalyegira An educated man is one who has so developed the faculties of his mind that he may acquire anything he wants, or its equivalent, without violating the rights of others.
The missing link in our system of education today is found in the failure of educational institutions to teach
