On the left is a founding father of the Buccaneer (BAN) cult group, Alora Pancho Lobito (1972–1974 set), who is currently battling a serious illness that requires about 20 million naira for treatment. (Due to medical preference, Naija Confra will only release his cult name while withholding both his real name and face). On the right are pictures from September 9, 2025, where Buccaneers publicly displayed ceremonial cheques and claimed that several families received 17 million naira each. Many stated that the donations were a publicity stunt and not real - today, those claims may be true. Buccaneers cannot raise 20 million naira from their cult account to assist one of the men who started the group, yet they publicly display giant cheques with huge amounts for publicity. Are these people truly receiving this money, or is the Buccaneer (BAN) cult group simply a scam?

There are also claims that there cult convention cost 80-90 million naira where girls are paid to come and shake their nyash, yet their founding fathers are looking for help. If something happens to them tomorrow, you will see the same leaders with their usual big paper cheque. Last year, a young man whose late father was a Buccaneer alleged that the group failed to fulfill the financial promises they made during his father’s funeral. According to him, they only gave less than a quarter of what they pledged, and since the burial in 2013, no balance has been paid.

Naija Confra is making this issue public with the hope that pressure and awareness from us will push Buccaneers (BAN) to assist their sick founding father, Pancho Lobito. And this should also serve as a lesson to cultists in Nigeria - shun violence and focus on your future because when you need help in future, that cult group you are k**ling for right now will not help you. It is your own hardwork that will help you. If Buccaneers can abandon their founding father, who are you that is just an ordinary cultist. Reject Violence.
