They engaged in cordial discussions on key areas of bilateral and regional importance, including trade and commerce, tourism, education, culture, and regional security.
The exchange also touched on Panama's hosting of the upcoming OAS General Assembly, which will coincide with the 200th anniversary of the Congress of Panama. Convened in 1826 by Simón Bolívar, the Congress represented one of the earliest efforts to foster political dialogue, cooperation, and regional integration among the newly independent nations of the Americas.

During a courtesy call, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Jaentschke engaged in cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest and regional importance. Belize and Nicaragua enjoy longstanding bilateral relations grounded in friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation.
Ambassador Amalia Mai, who has responsibility for SICA affairs, also participated in the meeting.

This morning, PM Briceño held a productive call with Mexican President, H.E. Claudia Sheinbaum. They discussed expanded market access for Belizean cattle and coconuts, the extension of the Tren Maya to Belize and joint efforts on the Zaragoza Bridge linking San Pedro to Quintana Roo.
Continued electricity supply, enhanced security cooperation and deeper bilateral ties were also key topics. Mexico has agreed to send a delegation to Belize for follow-up discussions.
Both leaders committed to meet at the appropriate time.
