All what was happening, Sharon couldn’t leave him. We heard she stayed out of fear. And besides, most guys who crushed on her withdrew and behaved when it became obvious that Tunde “belonged.”
By the time we go to second semester of third year, he had about 4 Carry-Overs piled up. One day, news spread that his group had a f!ght with another cvlt. He sustained severe injuries from machetes - that took him away from classes for over a week - unfortunate thing was that, it’s nearing exam period.
But did he learn his lessons? Capital NO. First semester of final year, we were just resuming back from the long break. The news broke that his group had a retaliatory f!ght with the other rival cvlt. Someone was said to have d!ed in the f!ght.
To cut the story short. Tunde couldn’t graduate with our set. I visited UNN two years after our graduation, for my transcript, and I still met Tunde running around for classes, looking lost and hopeless. His Carry-Over hadn’t been settled - a course meant for just 4 years now running over 6 years.
Sharon, his girlfriend, had just one carryover course. Heard that she graduated a year after us and traveled to Canada for her Masters.
I don’t know the fate of Tunde as of today but that last time I saw him, he was in tatters. So, what’s the need for the cult?
