Correct. @UseLemfi for me has been reliable, user friendly, competitive innovative and dynamic. Customer service is quite reliable too. I admire, enjoy and would continue to use this beautiful platform. They deserve all the support.
If Nigerians in the UK stop supporting platforms like @UseLemfi and instead fully switch to general banking apps like Monzofor sending money back home, we risk weakening Nigerian-founded apps that are also actively supporting our communities here.
No other Nigerian-linked brand in the UK is currently supporting Nigerians in the UK the way @UseLemfi does.
They have contributed to community burials, supported students with school fees, backed Nigerian events and festivals, and consistently shown up for our people in meaningful ways.
Monzo, and similar mainstream banks, are not built with that same community focus and are unlikely to invest back into our specific needs in the same way.
If we don’t support our own where they are genuinely serving us, then we have to ask ourselves what it really means to build and sustain a Nigerian community in the diaspora.
Supporting our own businesses is part of strengthening our collective presence and impact here in the UK.
BREAKING: Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has arrived at the Federal High Court in Kaduna for the continuation of proceedings in the case filed against him by the ICPC.
When my father died, his brother took all 12 of us into his home. He already had 12 children of his own, but wallahi, we never lacked anything. We had good schools, maids to help take care of us, good food, and everything we needed.
We never felt like we had lost our father or that we didn't belong in that house. He treated us like his own children, and I'll always be grateful for that.
Sadly, we lost him in 2021. May Allah have mercy on him, and grant him Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen.
