My Dear Brother Aliko,
First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support and belief in actualizing this monumental achievement under his administration. This day belongs to every Nigerian who has dared to dream of a better future. Congratulations to our great nation—today, we all stand a little taller.
Aliko, it feels like just yesterday, but it has been 25 long years since we first set our sights on transforming Nigeria’s energy landscape. I remember vividly when we set up the Blue Star Consortium to acquire stakes in the Kaduna and Port Harcourt refineries—20% for me and 51% for you. We were ready to change the game, but fate had other plans. The government of the day, in an act I can only describe as utterly obnoxious, canceled our stakes and thwarted our vision. But, as always, you refused to be deterred.
You never gave up on the dream we shared. You carried the torch forward, igniting a spark that has today become a roaring flame. And now, 25 years later, here we stand on the precipice of history, with the first fuel shipment from the Dangote Refinery—a feat that is nothing short of miraculous.
While the Kaduna and Port Harcourt refineries have remained dormant, their promise unfulfilled despite billions of dollars spent on so-called turn-around maintenance, you have achieved what many said was impossible. You have beaten all the skeptics, silenced the naysayers, and proved wrong those who doubted your resolve, even those who never wanted this project to succeed.
You have not just built a refinery; you have liberated us from the chains of economic dependence that have held this nation back for far too long. The days of bowing to foreign powers for our fuel needs are over, thanks to your vision and determination. You have dealt a death blow to the so-called local cabals who have fattened themselves for years, feeding off our nation’s economic slavery. These cabals, who have grown rich by keeping Nigeria in a perpetual state of dependence, must now face the reality that their era of easy gains is coming to an end.
I am reminded of the time you revolutionized the cement industry in Nigeria. Ships that once brought in cement turned into rusting relics, scraps of a bygone era. Now, with your refinery in full swing, I foresee a similar fate for fuel imports. The depot owners should take heed—it’s time to dismantle those depots and sell them as scraps while the market is still high. The world has changed, and those who do not adapt will be left behind.
When I ventured into the depot business with Zenon, it was in response to the inefficiencies of the NNPC. Zenon pioneered the diesel business in Nigeria and quickly became the largest in the country, filling the gaps left by our inefficient system. But today, your refinery stands as a beacon of what is possible when one has the audacity to dream and the tenacity to see it through.
Aliko, you have my deepest admiration and respect. Congratulations to you and the entire board, management and staff of Dangote Refinery on this monumental achievement. This is not just a victory for you but for every Nigerian who dares to dream. May this be just the beginning of even greater things to come.
With profound respect and warmest regards,
F. Ote$
President Bola Tinubu in your best interest and overall interest of future Nigeria, please sack boko haram inclined education Minister. If you delay we Nigeria we vote you out
@DeeOneAyekooto Gbajue everywhere. They use good name to steal and profess to be saint. Influencer pen ROBBER are worse than armed robber and kidnappers.
I refused to feed Utomi’s entitlement mentality — Amosun
“Before I came into office, the Ogun State House of Assembly had passed a personal non grata on Utomi, and put its resolution in the state’s black book.
“So, I was curious when I became governor and called Utomi to ask what the issue was. This was entirely at my discretion and not because he reached out to me. But I reckoned that as one with some degree of name-recognition, that should not be, and I wanted to know what happened.
“He, however, told me, amongst other things, that there was an ongoing construction in an Ogun State property that had become controversial.
“I immediately raised a team for verification and to know what to do. The team I sent said the land was inappropriate because the said construction was being done in the car park of the Ogun property on Mobolaji Bank Anthony Road in Lagos State. My team then suggested somewhere else.
“But he didn’t want another place because, according to him, the place in question gave more visibility. After our in-house assessment, my team concluded he could not have spent more than N35 million or at most, N50 million on the construction as of then. At that point, I decided to visit myself.
“In addition, it was discovered that the so-called work done was hurriedly executed in the wake of the realisation that another political party had won the governorship election and would take over the reins of leadership in the state.
“It was also obvious that what was being attempted was a move at ambushing the state government under my watch and presenting us with a Fait Accompli, a situation that would have generated a controversy about demolition of an on-going project.
“Just so that his investment in the state would not go to waste, I committed to making a refund of N100 million as against his claim of N200 million. He pressured me ceaselessly to pay him N200 million, but I did not yield.
“As part of his determination to sway me, he deployed his Centre for Value in Leadership, CVL, through the instrumentality of an Award. At first, it all looked curious that I’d just been in office for about two years, and here I was being given an award, so I rejected it.
“But he insisted that I honour his CVL Solution conference series with my presence, which I did, and I was given a plague for participating. But I did not change my position on the refund of N100 million as against his N200 million claim.
“A few years later, he complained to some people with the sole intent to malign me. When I heard, I called to tell him off because his problem was purely one of entitlement mentality. He even boasted, asking me: ‘Do you know who I am?’ Imagine. But I ignored him because I immediately saw through his true colour. In my book, it’s one law for everyone, no matter who you are.
“I challenge everyone, including journalists, to let us meet at the construction site and see the N200 million investment he claimed to have made there. Let them also ask what benefit the project would have been to Ogun State.
“Nobody can talk me down in order to look good. I served Ogun State passionately with all my strengths, and I did with my shoulders high. I stand by every decision I took, whether or not people like Pat Utomi were in agreement with me.
“Utomi knows his case did not even have any legs to stand on. He is not different from Zhongfu International Investment FXE. He knows he can not lay claims to any lawful damage done to his investment. All he has tried to do is a ‘me too’, which is very disgraceful.”
@UtomiPat Prof your story lack ingredient of Full truth and trust . So many cover up Sir. But from antecedents you never absolute on truth, you always takes advantage of everything for your selfish goal.
Peter Obi was desperate to fulfil his role as minister of bad news. He did not even realise that the debt was almost ten years old and was owed by a state government, not the Federal Government, and President Bola Tinubu was not in office when this debt was owed.
Meanwhile, this is a temporary seizure that is all but certain to be overturned.
Peter Obi lives to look for bad news about Nigeria. That is how he lied that Tanzania had now provided 100% uninterrupted electricity and Nigeria should be ashamed. And a week after his statement, Tanzania had a nationwide power outage.
Then he praised Kenyans for routing and asked Nigerians to learn from them, only to blame the Federal Government when people died during the Days of Rage protests.
And again, he attacked Nigeria for receiving food aid for the Northeast from Ukraine, but failed to tell his gullible Obidients that Egypt, a country he praised in the past, was dependent on Ukraine for its flour.
Finally, Peter Obi lied that a subsisting court judgment ordered the release of Nnamdi Kanu. However, contrary to Peter Obi's IPOB-inspired lies, in a unanimous ruling on December 15, 2023, the Supreme Court ruled that Nnamdi Kanu had a case to answer for treason. After that, on May 20, 2024, the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja ruled that Nnamdi Kanu should be denied bail.
Nigerians should not allow this gbajue fellow to set the nation on fire with his lies and half-truths. Desperation has made him become the chief purveyor of fake news about Nigeria.

@PeterObi You ambition is only reason for supporting this protest. Can you point to any protest you ever involved or supported before? During military anti - democratic era and all others protest in current democratic dispensation had you been in opposite side.
@BlessingNkechi_ What is CONTRIBUTION MARGIN RATIO of your personal beauty to development of Nigeria economy and the well being of her people? Please seek positive venture.
@PeterObi Needless post. Unguided statement. What would you have done different /better? Criticism without suggestions and alternative is just mere unnecessary antics of a leader that profess fairness but hardly practice it .
@UtomiPat Fallacious and armchair reasoning! More fair and rigorous evaluations of your thoughts please. Intellectual claims coloured with bias are becoming more apparent than your claim of what you intend to be . Please read again to understand.
