Tah should have had the winning goal. Ends up missing the decisive penalty. That’s some change of fortunes.
Plain wrong VAR intervention but made for a compelling shootout.
These last-32 ties are delivering drama. Been a fun World Cup.

Nigeria has launched the Nigeria AI Scaling Hub (NAISH), introducing a national shared compute infrastructure aimed at expanding access to AI resources for researchers, startups, public institutions, and innovators.
The initiative also marks the commencement of the Scaling AI for Development (SAID) Challenge, which will connect government institutions with Nigerian AI startups to develop AI-powered solutions for public sector challenges.
Backed by the @gatesfoundation and hosted by @Galaxybackbone , the Hub is designed to lower barriers to AI innovation, strengthen collaboration across the ecosystem, and support the development of scalable, homegrown AI solutions.

I have today signed the NIMC Act 2026 into law.
For nearly twenty years, Nigeria’s identity system operated under a law written for a different era. That era is over.
This new Act gives our nation a modern, secure and digital identity framework fit for the Nigeria we are building, a Nigeria on the path to becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy.
Today, through the Nigeria AI Scaling Hub (NAISH), we announced Nigeria's national shared compute infrastructure hosted by @Galaxybackbone and backed by the @gatesfoundation. Access to compute has become one of the defining constraints to AI innovation globally, so by creating shared national infrastructure, we can significantly reduce the barriers facing researchers, startups and public institutions, enabling them to build world-class AI solutions here in Nigeria.
The Nigeria AI Scaling Hub (NAISH) is a national platform established to accelerate the adoption and scaling of Artificial Intelligence across Nigeria by connecting innovators, researchers, startups, government, academia and development partners. It provides the infrastructure, partnerships and support needed to move proven AI solutions from pilot to large-scale deployment, while expanding access to critical resources such as shared compute, strengthening collaboration across the ecosystem, and enabling AI innovation to address national priorities and compete globally.
The launch of the Hub also marks the commencement of the Scaling AI for Development (SAID) Challenge, a practical initiative that will connect government institutions with Nigerian AI startups to solve real public sector challenges.
My sincere appreciation to the @gatesfoundation, @LBSNigeria, @Galaxybackbone and every partner helping to build an AI ecosystem that is open, inclusive and capable of delivering meaningful impact for Nigerians.
Applications for the Scaling AI for Development (SAID) Challenge are now open. If you are building proven AI solutions that can improve public service delivery, I encourage you to apply at https://t.co/mdF3v42M3h.

Today marked a defining moment in Nigeria's AI journey as government, industry, academia, development partners, and innovators gathered for the official launch of the Nigeria AI Scaling Hub (NAISH) and the unveiling of the Scaling AI for Development (SAID) Challenge at Abuja Continental Hotel.
Across Nigeria and Africa, groundbreaking AI solutions are being developed every day. The challenge is no longer whether we can build AI, but how we can scale proven innovations beyond pilot projects to create meaningful impact for millions of people.
This is the vision behind the Nigeria AI Scaling Hub (NAISH), a national initiative established through a collaboration between the @FMCIDENigeria and @LBSNigeria, with support from the @gatesfoundation . The Hub is designed to strengthen Nigeria's AI ecosystem by providing the infrastructure, partnerships, and enabling environment needed to move AI solutions from innovation to nationwide impact.
One of the landmark announcements came from @ydavidwest, who revealed that NAISH will be procuring eight NVIDIA H200 GPU compute nodes. The infrastructure will be hosted by @Galaxybackbone at its Tier III Data Centre in Abuja, with disaster recovery support at its Tier IV facility in Kano. She also acknowledged the continuous technical support provided by @dsn_ai_network in helping shape the operational and technical framework of the Hub.
In his keynote address, the Honourable Minister of the @FMCIDENigeria, @bosuntijani, highlighted the critical role of AI in driving Nigeria's national development through investments in digital infrastructure, innovation, economic growth, and public service delivery. This vision was echoed by Uche Amaonwu, Director of the Gates Foundation Nigeria Country Office (@Gates_Nigeria), who reinforced the importance of building scalable AI solutions that address real development challenges.
The event also featured the launch of the Scaling AI for Development (SAID) Challenge, an initiative designed to connect clearly defined challenges from Nigerian government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) with Nigerian AI startups that have already developed and validated impactful solutions. The goal is simple: accelerate the adoption of locally built AI innovations where they can deliver measurable public value.
