@taymitopee It is only seen as serious when it affects immunocompromised individuals (people with poor immune system) or of it happens to a newborn baby.
Generally, the disease can be handled using antiviral medicine/ointment during periods of outbreak.

First of all, I'm so sorry bro @taymitopee but it's not the end of the world. Herpes is not a "serious" viral disease and it's incredibly common.
It is more or less of an annoying rash that comes from time to time, especially when your immunity is low
