@gorgeous_saint I'm just saying that you should stop dismissing the xenophobia towards Africans because that's what is going on. Also it happens to even BA, there are ostracized and treated weirdly because they look "too African". I wish you all the best.
@gorgeous_saint This happens a lot.
Use this opportunity to introspect.
Yes some Africans have taken it too far but it's rarely unprovoked.
I don't stand for calling BA slaves because that is enforcing the tag that white supremacists use on us.
@gorgeous_saint When we tell you this happens you call it a joke. Yes we have Africans that have taken it too far with the insults but that you want to sit here and act like it's unprovoked and only from one side is crazy. Hope it doesn't happen to you. Shalom.
@gorgeous_saint This is the last time I'll respond and all I'll say is. You have gotten so used to dismissing the xenophobia from BA towards Africans and it has affected your mindset a lot. Imagine if I dismiss a white person being racist towards you as a joke.
@gorgeous_saint A simple check is enough. That's to show how a lot of your ideology put on us can easily be disproved. Did you check the original tweet.
This is a black American person saying that Africans(mind you over a billion people) ruin this app. If it was the other way around,
@gorgeous_saint That's the thing you don't see it doesn't been it doesn't happen. Why you calling Africans African booty scratcher. It's used on Africans so much. You are the one trying to be a victim because I said from the start that a lot of you all have afrophobia and are xenophobic.
@gorgeous_saint Sorry that people take akata out of context. But it is literally used to refer to people who have left their homes in Africa and leave abroad. Its not an insult and I know that it is used derogatory. But what of you guys calling us african booty scratcher?
@gorgeous_saint Actually yes you guys are.
So many of your people have come out to say that they are treated weirdly because they supposedly look"too African".
@gorgeous_saint Akata means a lost cat or lost child. It is used for Africans living abroad. It's not an insult. It's the same way we call white people. oyinbo.
@gorgeous_saint dismissing us as soft. If a white person does it to you people we don't call it jokes. That's what I mean when I say you've been trying to invalidate our experience and gaslight us.
@gorgeous_saint โWe joke everybodyโ doesn't magically make it not xenophobia. And โwe would have been beating the brakes off y'allโ isn't the defense you think it is. If Africans tell you we're offended by jokes specifically targeting us for being African, you can either acknowledge that or keep
@gorgeous_saint You won't understand because you don't even want to try to understand. You guys are literally the people who say you can't be racist or xenophobic because you're Black, and that's exactly the point I'm making that you can be xenophobic even if you're black.
@gorgeous_saint That is literally the point youโre refusing to understand. Being Black does not make you incapable of xenophobia You can share a racial identity with someone and still be prejudiced against them because of their nationality, ethnicity, accent, culture or where they come from
@gorgeous_saint So acting like Africans randomly decided one day that we didn't want solidarity is dishonest. Creating Pan-African culture or helping Africans in certain historical circumstances doesn't erase the anti-African prejudice that has existed within parts of the Black diaspora.
