i love everywhere that this game has gone, just to clarify. minecraft is truly an anomaly of a game with how well it’s been managed and how it has something for everyone
kinda feels like the game growing up. almost like everything before it was just the test run, and then they locked in and said “let’s see just how much we can make of this”
1.13 was such a WEIRD time for Minecraft’s artstyle. Not only did it change the water and add C418’s last tracks into the game,
It was also the last version to use programmer art as the main style + introducing Jappa’s new work at the SAME time. What a weird small window of time
@MintRefresh_MC i don’t know how much i personally would do it but it makes me so excited for what people are going to stretch this block to do. genuinely revolutionary
Holy Larp.
The drops sure have issues but not even half a year ago we got a drop entirely focused around combat and new mobs and them being able to use some new mounts and spears. pale garden added an entire new hostile mob and the 2 major survival challenges where beloved
as such, when people complain about not having any new challenges, there's people who are glad things aren't difficult to get.
at the end of the day, the current developmental vision at mojang seems to be storytelling & longevity, two things the recent updates do AMAZINGLY
the two main complaints with updates are "it doesnt feel minecrafty!" and "this is barely anything" which is WAY better than "this ruins the game."
the minecraft playerbase has such a diverse set of people that updates have to not interfere with any playstyles
fr though PLEASE give us bricks of granite/andesite/diorite, sandstone, purpur, dripstone, even amethyst or ice. tuff bricks answered my biggest wish but i need MORE. MORE BLOCK SETS
