Ibn Taymiyyah said patience has three levels: patience in obeying Allah, patience in avoiding sin, and patience in accepting His decree. Most people only think of the third. But the first two are where sabr is actually built, in the small daily choices.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) wept. The Companions grieved. Patience was never the absence of emotions. Rather, it was the decision to not let emotions frustrate your trust in Allah.

Why are you so hard on yourself and stressing yourself on something that has already been decreed? Trust Allah with all these affairs. Just continue to work on yourself all the while focusing on your deen. And eventually, everything will fall into place at the right time.
