🚨 Australia has just published its super interesting National AI Plan, focused on creating opportunities, democratizing the benefits of AI, and keeping Australians safe. Other countries should take note [Bookmark it below]:

The focus on skill development and democratization of AI adoption in Australian society is particularly interesting, as this is an important shortcoming in other national AI strategies.

We often see arguments along the lines of "AI will create millions of new jobs," but we almost don't see targeted efforts to equip workers with new skills, for example, those related to building and maintaining data centers and AI infrastructure.

Upskilling and reskilling should be a MAJOR focus right now if we want to avoid massive unemployment and, at the same time, make sure that AI development benefits workers.

Australia is, AGAIN, giving the world a lesson on responsible AI leadership...
