I was informed that my mother has been sick 3 days ago by my dad on WhatsApp
I kept mute because I was still hurt
I couldn't just ignore for long so I took a bold decision yesterday to visit my parents after a long time of threats and curses from them since I reverted to Islam
My parents were shocked to see me though
So I bought them some provisions and gave to them like I used to in the past
I saw my mother and I was weeping inside my heart
I learnt they've gone to several hospitals but her condition persists
So without looking back I held her hands and started reciting surah falaq, nas and ayatul kursi
Then I got a glass of water and recited surah fatiha on it and blew air into it and gave her to drink because I learnt that surah is also called The Cure
My father didn't stop me
But I noticed my mum started getting relieved gradually
To cut the long story short I left towards the evening because I had a flight to catch to lagos and I left hurriedly
When I got to lagos as at 7pm I called them back and my father said my mum has been sleeping so I let them rest
This morning my dad's call woke me up by 4am to tell me that my mums sleep improved overnight and she's been moving her limbs better since last night
He said whatever I did yesterday worked o that he doesn't mind if I keep doing that
I was overjoyed after the call
I had my tahajjud and thanked Allah and prayed my mums health improves
But I still kept wondering how a simple surah from the Glorious Qur’an could be so effective
I am beginning to deepen my Fear for Allah SWT
On the other hand I am wishing they turn to Allah so they can see how Great Allah is and worship him too
Indeed Allah is the greatest
This morning, my kids were playing with me on the bed.
Then my wife called my daughter to come help her in the kitchen.
The following conversation took place:
Daughter: Daddy, why isn't "her brother's name" coming to join us in the kitchen? He should also learn how to cook.
Me: Yes, he should learn how to cook, but for different reasons.
D: what are the reasons, daddy?
Me: Your brother should learn how to cook so that he can survive when he's on his own as a young man or a bachelor. You should learn how to cook, so that you can survive as a young lady, and be able to cook for your husband and children.
D: But daddy, that's gender stereotyping.
Me: My head is spinning.
Me: What do you mean?
D: I mean, daddy, I must not be the only one who cooks for my husband. I can also earn more money than my husband, so he too should be cooking.
My head just do gbam!
Na so I start lecture ooo.
My wife called her again, but I had to ask her to allow her because I wanted to talk to her.
What started as a simple conversation turned into a 30 minutes lecture time.
I thought she was still very young to understand certain things but I realized this girl is always on YouTube kids watching different girly stuff. And somehow, this internet has a way to feeding them this western ideologies.
So I started from when I met her mother at the university until I married her. I told her that during our dating period, I did not give her mother any money for hair, buy her any phone, or pay any rent for her mother.
I told her that, yes, she should aspire to make her own money, and that even when she gets married and is making money, her money is not meant for her to be a provider for her husband.
I used my wife and myself as examples. I told her that when I married her mother, she was working and earning money, but she stopped working to become a stay-at-home mother and wife.
And that I pay her mother a monthly salary for the job she does.
D: Mommy never told me that you pay her salary.
Me: Yes, she didn't tell you because it's not your business. But I am telling you now so that you understand that even if you see your mother at home every day, it doesn't mean that she's not working.
That it can heppen to her when she gets married. Which is why she must be careful with the type of men she follows or the type of man she would get married to.
I told her that she should never see men and women as equals. That we have different privileges.
I now asked her if she knows what feminism is?
This girl said yes.
Omo I started another round of lecture o.
Feminism is different from femininity. I want you to discard whatever feminism is saying and be a feminine lady.
I married her because her mother is a feminine woman.
I talk tire.
This girl was just looking at me in awe.
I was actually waiting for when she would turn 15/16 before having such conversations with her, but omo, I for gok am.
Later, I had to call her mother privately to tell her that she has more work to do in terms of orientation. She said she does, but it's good that I lectured her, so she will now use it to teach and convince her more, because she always doesn't want to disappoint me, her father.
May my daughter not become the very things I teach against.
End.
@jon_d_doe Quick one for her
What would have happened if the guy's location hadn't been the same as your boyfriend's before he left for service? You would have started your own service too maybe
Well you're lucky it ended where you said it did sha
@KAminu49132 What I have for you is that you ain't gonna be like Elon, because that's gonna be limiting yourself to elon's achievement ,but what I know is you're gonna do great things..you've started off the right foot at the right time, sharp mind and consistency will be your driving force 💪
Imagine if he had invested that N300k plus other monies he had been giving to her at just 24. By the time he gets to 30, with careful financial planning and discipline, he would be prepared to be a husband and father.
Let me repeat:
Your girlfriend is supposed to invest in you and make sacrifices for you, while you invest and sacrifice for the future of both of you.
But lack of patience and foresight and the love for toto is taking a huge toll on you young men.
And greed has taken a toll on you young girls.
A young man who is just starting life deserves to be in a relationship. It's how he would find his future wife and the mother of his future children.
It's not a period for him to waste scarce resources.
It's a period of vetting, cohabiting, helping each other, and living a prudent or frugal life..
Then he starts to build his life brick by brick while you, the girlfriend, support him, while he also leads you towards the right path and in line with your future goals and aspirations.
Stop all these transactional relationships you people are doing..
They're unhealthy, and they create unnecessary entitlement, lack of focus and misplaced priorities.
You should have sex if you want.
But sex should not be sold in your relationship.
He would always spend on you, but it should not be seen as a compensation for sex.
How will he spend on you?
1. When you go on dates.
2. When you cohabit with him from time to time.
3. When he wants to get you gifts.
4. Then occasionally dash you money.
Not him paying for your rent.
Not him buying expensive phones, hairs, shoes, bags etc.
Not him paying for your school fees.
And certainly not him buying you sanitary pads or feeding your family.
And all his earnings must be legitimate.
This is what young people in relationships should practice.
Contentment, discipline, and reasonable financial planning and future ambitions.
By the time you keep at it, you'd be building a healthy relationship and setting the proper foundations for your future, and possibly, marriage.
You would have earned your place, and be proud of yourselves.
Make no mistakes; you will definitely make mistakes.
You'll fight, quarrel, and even curse at each other.
It doesn't have to lead to breakups.
As long as no red lines are crossed.
Use each fight, quarrel, or misunderstanding as a teaching moment.
Where you have to apologize, do so.
Where you have to be accountable, do so.
Where you have to be transparent, do so.
This is my gospel for you all, this beautiful wet morning.
End.
You can’t walked into a closed room alone with an opposite sex and later claim that what happaned in there was a mistake.
One Bible verse that keeps me humble is when Jesus said:
“The spirit, of course, is eager, but the flesh is weak.”
Whenever I reflect on those words, they remind me that no matter how sincere our intentions are, we are still human and capable of making mistakes.
As for me? I know myself no reach am. 😭😂
That is why wisdom is not just knowing your strengths. It comws from knowing your weaknesses too.
That is also why I laugh when people boast:
“I can never…”
“I am not that kind of person…”
“It can never happen to me…”
My brother, my sister, calm down. 😂
Many mistakes people make did not start because they planned to do wrong.
They started because they overestimated themselves and underestimated the situation.
Avoid overconfidence, especially when it comes to the opposite sex.
Give the wrong situation enough time, privacy, attention, emotional connection, and opportunity, and many discover that their self-confidence was stronger than their self-control.
So stay humble, know your limits, and never assume you are above temptation. The moment you recognize your weaknesses is often the moment you begin to walk in wisdom.
Some of you saying Sqirting in the comment Section! Let me Lecture you.
Peeing before sex can raise UTI risk for some women. That is Empty bladder = weaker post sex stream to flush bacteria pushed into the urethra during sexual intercourse.
Peeing *after* sex within 30 mins is the key step to safe Sex & Health life....
Clock it. 👌🏼😍🔥
There was a guy in my area who won ₦16 million from betting when he was just 15 years old.
His mum sold garri and gave him ₦3,000 to deliver garri to a customer. Instead, this boy used the money to place a bet.
I still remember that evening. The moment he realized he had won, he ran to the front of their house screaming and, out of excitement, scattered his mum's garri everywhere. The whole neighborhood came out to celebrate. His father almost had a heart attack when he heard the amount: ₦16 million!
Not long after, they moved out of our area to a better neighborhood, and today his mum owns one of the biggest garri stores in Port Harcourt.
Sometimes I think about it and laugh.
Imagine if that ticket had cut.
Dem for flog craze comot for him body 😂
It is said that the young man in the photo, named Ahmed Abdullah, was a pharmacist working in a pharmacy. Every month, an elderly poor woman would come to him for her medicine. She would then approach him at the cash register... Whenever she saw him, her face would light up with joy. For years, she had been buying this medicine, and this young man would only take 200 Egyptian pounds from her. She would pay and leave.
Then, the young man passed away... The elderly woman returned to the same pharmacy, requested her medicine, and went to the cash register to pay 200 pounds. But he was not there.
Before she could ask about him, the new cashier said: “What is this, madam?”She replied: “This is 200 pounds for the medicine.”He responded: “But this medicine costs 2,000 pounds, madam.”
Surprised, she said: “But for more than three years, I have been getting it for 200 pounds from the young man who was here... Where is he?”
The new cashier replied: “He passed away, madam. May God have mercy on him.” Upon reviewing the records, it was discovered that this young man had been covering 1,800 pounds of the cost every month from his own salary at the pharmacy.
When the pharmacy owner learned of this, he decided to continue selling the medicine to the woman at the same price as an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) for the sake of the young man’s pure soul. The least we can do to honor this exemplary young man is to let his photo travel the world without stopping, so that everyone may pray for mercy upon him. He deserves recognition.
Every man should:
1. Shave his hair and beard at least once every two weeks.
2. Own a wristwatch.
3. Have a feminine woman as his girlfriend or wife.
4. Have a well-paying job.
5. Have at least 8 pairs of boxers.
6. Maintain a personal relationship with God.
7. Have a father figure in his life.
8. Have a good smartphone and laptop.
9. Have at least one high-quality perfume.
10. Possess basic knowledge of leadership, economics, and politics.
Above all, love God.
And let me say this to young single ladies in relationship.
If you go to cohabit with your boyfriends or you go to spend the weekend at his place.
Please make sure that you return his change whenever he asks you to go buy anything.
Do not say "it's small, be doesn't need it".
Give account of every penny you spent from the money he gave you.
Even if he is forming not interested in knowing, do it.
If you see money in a random place, don't just take it.
Tell him that you saw money somewhere, and that you used it for this or that.
Or you ask him why he kept money so carelessly.
If you tell him that you need 500k to change your phone, and he's "stupid" enough to give it to you, do not spend the entire 500k on a phone.
Spend 250k and show him what you plan to use 250k for.
Do not go to your boyfriend's house and start forming over-familiarity with his neighbors.
Or going to beg his neighbors for salt, maggi, pepper or even water.
If he doesn't have those things in his house at the moment, use your money to buy them.
And tell him about it later.
There are many ways that you as a lady can show that you're not a liability or a leech.
But your ojúkòkòrò will not let you be great.
To you, your toto water is all that matters.
I pity you.
End.
If your wife cannot buy as little as salt without waiting for you, then you're in big trouble in your marriage.
Even if she's not working.
No wife should go to the market with 10k that you gave her, & she comes back without change.
Even if the 10k is not enough.
End.
