If you're a golf fan, don't miss @GolfweekNichols' incredible coverage from the @USGA's inaugural U.S. Adaptive Open at Pinehurst No. 6.
Golf is for everyone.
@ShaneRyanHere This hit me square in the chest. The way you treat a complex subject further complicated by fandom reminds me of a piece you did years and years ago about FJM after seeing him perform live for the first time. Same same but different.
After nearly a decade, I finally got back to Tamarack Country Club this weekend, and I was amazed at what they’ve done with the place. Architect Brian Schneider is continuing to restore the bold brilliance of Charles Banks’ original 1929 design, and there’s even more to come.
@thomasdunne@GeoffShac Good advice. Do you think @GeoffShac, based on his name game piece in Issue #4, appreciates that we refrained from adding an “e” to the end of Old in Old Barnwell?

Here's a link to our latest newsletter (https://t.co/AMDIvLch2B), and a picture of Mavis in one of the bunkers you'll contend with if you try to drive the green at the two-shot 2nd hole (David Bowie, our other dog, is safely over, but still short of the green).
With all the shaping on 1-5, 16, and 17, it’s easy to forget about holes that haven’t been touched yet. Here is 8 tee shot (with my yellow marker poorly denoting green in the distance), and a second photo of the green site, with 9 tee above and to the right
I quite enjoyed this. The newsletter is worth a subscribe if you're interested in the business of golf.

No hole at Philly's @LlanerchCC embodies its rowdy spirit quite like the drivable par-4 18th—a wicked little closer that finishes in an arena full of jeers, cheers and any side action you can think of.
@bschneider126 walks us through it.

The driveable par-4 2nd hole begs you to take on these bunkers instead of playing it safe to the left. (The skinny greensite is on top of the hill behind the hazards, to the right of the truck.)
