For anyone who was wanting a copy of our meal plan, here is a copy. If I was technologically literate I’d put the file on here but that is above my pay grade!
4 things to ask yourself at the end of each practice:
1. Was I better today, than I was yesterday?
2. Did I empower others?
3. Did I make my team better?
4. If today was my last practice ever, can I look myself in the mirror, and say; “I left it all on the field!”?
Herm Edwards on the “life of a coach”
“When you’re the coach you just don’t sleep — cause you’re always thinking of things to improve on.”
“There is always something you can do — the work is never done.”
Coaching Tip: When things go bad you can’t react how others react or others think you should react. You must react to uplift your players because your reaction affects them the most. #Ap2w
This is why we do Pursuit Drill!! Backside Corner runs down the ballcarrier inside the 5yd line - saving a TD...3 plays later Virginia Tech recovered an FSU fumble! That Corner hustling & not giving up on the play helped keep his team up by 2 scores on the road in the 4th Quarter
The weightroom doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, black or white, young or old, starter or backup, gifted or not...doesn’t care if you’re having a bad day...doesn’t accept excuses. There is stability in that room. Those 45lb plates will weigh the same tomorrow as they do today
ATHLETES: If your coach has to track you down for you to put work in, don't be surprised when you get replaced by someone who tracks your coach down looking for work!!!!!
