@FixingEducation Would like to see a companion study on how students across the same period are spending their time outside of the 7 hours of school each day as well as how much time in the instruction day is spent on test prep. Compare that data with 10 years ago. Variables .
@miles_commodore Unless they have an analog clock in. Their world, there is no practice after initial learning in the early years. Many use phones as clocks and they are digital
@JustinParmenter As long as we have paramedics, first responders, people in sales, clerks, small business owners, social workers, teachers, farmers, even people who serve in public office, etc, to run our communities attending and finishing public schools…. I refuse to accept “failed”
@AndrewYang Sadly being a billionaire in value measured by dollars in our culture makes us overlook those who save lives, encourage others to reach potential, grow our food , keep the lights on ..whose value will never be measured in dollars but are required for our existence.
@CLT_Suburbia Just an fyi….No longer a pension for new employees, fewer benefits… ask them about insurance these days… many have second jobs and side hustles to pay for child care…
@BrianBalfourNC One place it absolutely goes is to copy paper. Ask any principal what the school spends. With fewer texts, much of work winds up on copy paper. Yes, computers help but then there is the computer expense.
@DavidShafer When I was teaching ,the grand dragon who lived in a nearby town came to my school to take me to task for how I presented the Klan to my US history class. He was quite real… 1980s.
Civil War historian, Shelby Foote, discusses a few of the grievances in the south that led to the Civil War. Foote worked with Ken Burns on his documentary 'The Civil War'. Many facts that led to the conflict are never taught in school, but are well documented.
@TVNewsNow@TomiLahren Governor Bashear has a skill missing in politicians today. He knows how to listen to his constituents and work with a divided legislature. His focus as Governor is Kentucky and its future. Both parties could learn from him.
