I posed this question to many of my friends 15 years ago and everybody was afraid to touch the subject. I didn't blame them because I am also, but here is the piece I wrote 15 years ago.
When Do We Fight?
Have you ever thought about how bad it has to get before you would be willing to fight to restore this country to the republic it was, when our founding fathers created it? I have thought about it and know; just the mention of this thought, can get me into serious trouble.
Our founding fathers seemed to sense that we may have to fight our elected officials and leaders for our rights and freedoms and made sure we had the means to do so, by way of the second amendment. For me, we have not reached that point. We have quite a-ways to go before that time comes, but with the current administration, it seems the country is on an accelerated pace in that direction. I wonder just how many rights and freedoms we have to lose and how much government control of our everyday lives we are willing to give the state, before enough people will fight to remove the government yoke from around their necks. I am not sure I know when I would be willing to fight. I am not sure I will recognize that point, even when it happens.
I see the Obama administration promising too many people that they can get into the wagon for a free ride and those of us producing wealth are supposes to keep pulling the wagon. Eventually we will not be able to pull anymore, because the load will be too great.
Our leaders are restricting our first amendment right through political correctness and are working relentlessly to take away our second amendment right. The state will eventually decide where we will live, what we will do and how much we can make.
You say this can never happen. Open your eyes and turn on something beside the mainstream news media and read something besides most major newspapers. It is happening now.
I thought the citizenry would come to our defense when many of us that owned land, had our use of it relentlessly and unfairly restricted or outright taken away, but people sat by and let it happen and many encouraged it. Private industries are being taken over by the Obama administration and some executives in private companies are told by the state, what an acceptable salary is.
How far down this road do we go, before we are willing to fight for our freedom? Or do we listen to those that keep saying “wait - we can still reverse this direction”, until things get so bad that the people will accept a Mussolini or Hitler to make things better? Because that’s what will happen when we lose our right to bear arms, our free speech is restricted and most of our land is taken from us.
Those of us producing wealth will quit because most of it will be confiscated. When this happens, it will significantly reduce everyone’s standard of living. Is this when we get our Dictator who senses we are getting restless and promises to make things better, but we lose more of our rights in the process - -
· free speech will be severely restricted
· organizations deemed unpatriotic to the state will be banned
· we will need state permission to travel out of our designated area
· most large landowners will have their lands confiscated
· we will have our firearms taken away
When our guns are taken away, the state will control our everyday lives.
Is this when we are willing to fight, or will we have waited too long? I don’t have the answer to this question, just some thoughts and the question.
There are too many people in the wagon now and that includes everyone from the federal government to the local community official that receives taxpayer money for his or her salary, as well as anyone else receiving taxpayer money. It is a ruse to say they also pay taxes. Their taxes have to be taken from someone producing wealth and given to them, before they can pay taxes.
President Reagan started a peaceful revolution in 1981, but it was never continued when he left office. Most of our leaders have spent the last 20+ years trying to stop what he started, and they have been very successful at it.
I am not a right-wing wacko or even a libertarian. We do need government to do those things we cannot do for ourselves, and I will concede, maybe some we can. I don’t think another political party is the answer, there are too many now, (over 50 at last count). We have to take over the Republican Party to promote and elect conservative candidates that reflect our values and vision, and we cannot afford to support RiNO’s (Republican in Name Only).
Too many people have never grown up and are afraid to become independent. After leaving the security of their parents, they became dependent on the government for their wellbeing. These are the people we have to convert to our side. If we don’t then I am back to my original question.
When? Because it will eventually happen, but will we have waited too long?
Two quotes from Ronald Reagan. “To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last - but eat you he will.” & “Government is not the solution to the problem; government is the problem.”
@badlyer123@grok Grok, you did a great job but they were already stunningly beautiful and in my opinion the request should have been make them fair-skined period.
@gerags99@theepicmap I know what it is. You don't have to send me a link to a site I have little confidence in. My suggestion was to help the many, maybe most that did not know what the post was referimg to.
@RightPulseNewss he is worse than the democrats. you know where they are so you can plan for it, but you never know when Graham will stab Trump in the back.
I scrolled the first 225 responses and found only one person that said yes. That is trust rate of .4%
Too many powerful people are on the list for it to ever come out. Both Democrats, Republicans, world leaders and people with billion$ like Bill Gates are on the list. The money and power will always win. Some historian a hundred years from now will publish the truth, but it is not for our eyes.
