One year ago, President Trump took an oath to serve the American people. Instead, he used the presidency to enrich himself, the @nytimes editorial board writes. This is how Trump has pocketed at least $1.4 billion. https://t.co/U35Bm4UaDy
@julesvisual Keep goin, talk to people, hang with friends and get help if you can. Seems like ya love art, find and focus on the joys. As someone who just lost a loved one to those thoughts, I pray you can make it through this and know you’re loved.
The most coherent arguments for the Trump/DOGE admin that I heard from folks on the right circled around the idea that America needs to:
1. reduce the deficit
2. find new ways to help parents and encourage strong families
3. unleash energy abundance (esp nuclear!)
So it seems important to point out that the GOP budget:
1. adds $6 trillion to the debt
2. cuts health insurance to millions of parents and denies expanded child tax credits to the poor
3. includes measures that nuclear advocates are calling a "death-knell" for American nuclear
I think this @Noahpinion article—on insurance economics, wildfire mechanics, and the need for common-sense solutions to a world of rising fire risk—is an extraordinary achievement in information synthesis, clear thinking, and clear writing.
