@realPetrosman you can argue that they should have talked abt the Russian invasion, ok, that's your opinion
but how does this fit in the "russian propaganda" box?
the show is not made to make Russia look good, actually Russia looks pretty bad
@realPetrosman that's what happens when a war is long-term, people forget about it, the media stops talking about it bc it's not news anymore
the whole issue with Palestine has been happening for 77 years, and people did forget about it, that's how the world works (as shitty as it is)
@realPetrosman how about US characters? the US is the biggest investor in guns in the world and is the country that keeps giving money for the Israeli army to keep killing Palestinians, so everytime there is a US character they should kneel and apologize for what their country is doing?
@realPetrosman it's not that I don't understand your point, I simply disagree with you, the show is not abt Russia, it's abt two gay hockey players
so yes, one of the main conflicts of Ilya's life is the relation Russia has with homosexuals, that's why this is on the show
@realPetrosman so should every US movie/tv show from now on talk abt Iran and Palestine?
bc it needs to go both ways no?
sex and the city was shot while there was a whole war happening in the Middle East, that btw, caused the 9/11, does it appear on the show?
@realPetrosman I don't defend Russia, as I don't defend Israel, as I don't defend the US, etc
I sure am a westerner but my country was also colonized, my country had a violent military dictatorship, and Putin is a dictator and a killer, there's no doubt in that
@realPetrosman sure, if it's not part of the story then is not part of the story, why it being a gay show make a difference?
there are load of heterosexual shows that don't talk abt politics at all, only romance
@realPetrosman but the series is not placed in Ukraine, the US has done shit to everyone (not only the Middle East or Vietnam) and I still watch tv shows/movies that have american main characters
not all movies with american characters are about the horrible actions of the US and that's ok
@realPetrosman but the show is not about Russia invasion on Ukraine, it's about a gay couple that lives in the USA/Canada, do you think every russian person existence should be about Putin's actions?
@realPetrosman following your thought process there should be no characters from the US also, no?
because if you have an american character in a tv show and the american imperialism isn't talked abt, then is that wrong in your opinion too?
@realPetrosman@thenamerightnow@sammyersson my man, I really think you are confused, the original tweet is abt the gay hockey tv show "Heated Rilvary" and how one of the main characters is a gay russian man
