@NeilJFellows2@au_tom_otive@Blackbox_Sol Body off for almost everything which is a bit of a pain if the bolts seize or strip. My D4 is the same, brake pipes are a bigger job than they need to be, body off for a propper job. So many cars are though these days, especially some of the big yank pickups.
@NeilJFellows2@au_tom_otive I invested in some @Blackbox_Sol kit many years ago, so for a few quid, diagnostic software is a few clicks away. I can work on them like any other car, so their legendary reliability issues aren't that big of an issue for me. That jag engine is a bit scary though when it pops.
@siddharthkara "Ooh BEV the evil new tech killing millions." Grow up and see what cobalt is used for besides lithium batteries, we're all guilty of this exploitation and have been for a century. We want cheap stuff, someone has to suffer as a result.

@sparksmagazine Who knew there would be a rule to prevent such stupidityπ
I bought a house with a 6mm T&E into a 13a plug. Everthing in the garage was on 13a sockets, lights the lot. It was all running through a peice of brass rod not a fuse. Oh and used garden hose for mechanical protection.
@ukevowners So they keep telling us. I think it will find its own level sooner or later. Personally, I'm banking on the prices going up for public charging. We're planning on having 3 or 4 22kw chargers on the drive eventually. A long way off needing it though, BEV takeup is very slow here.
@ukevowners The lottery thing, that's for sure. Though the dno has to pay for cable upgrades now (well most of it) not the commercial charger operators. "That means the cost of charging will go down, due to less initial outlay." Isn't that what they say about prices... Infrastructure costs.
@Ed_Westby Yeah, don't sit in the back when the tailgate comes down unless the windows are open. My dad had two, and they both did it, massive eardrum overpressure, I can still feel it now.
