Up before the alarm. Out in the cold. Through the bad backs and the worse winters. You never once signed on. You were proud of that.

Now you are fifty eight. The body is done. The trade that used you up has no use for you anymore.

And you are sat at home in the middle of the day, not because you are lazy, but because there is nothing left for a man your age who is worn out and ten years short of a pension.

There are two million like you. They will call it worklessness. A statistic. A drain.

They will not call it what it is.

A grafter, used up and thrown back, by a country that took the best of him and left him with nothing to retire on.

The victim involved in this was first identified in 2015, it took 11 years to get these men sentenced. How many years were these men on bail walking the streets while she suffered? Then half of them will be out of prison in around 6 years! she waited nearly twice that length, just for justice.
Lets stop pretending this is normal. The UK justice needs to do better.

I agree with every single word you say @fiongoddarduk …. Very well said!! And I feel the same horror, shame, rage and disbelief at what I see day in and day out! This has consumed 20 years of my life and yet STILL there’s no accountability for those who knowingly did nothing!

Political correctness, ideologies and corrupt public officials, politicians, senior police, senior social workers etc have so much to answer for. But their day for being held to account is approaching I believe!

Too little, too late but I hope that it will ensure those at the top will then act differently NOW if they fear their negligence could have personal consequences, even prison sentences. I guarantee we will then see change! That’s the only way change will come imo

But I do believe the tied has turned.. Finally!! And people power will not go away this time……

18 year ago I was first targetted by gangs of men to be raped, tortured and dehumanised in every way imaginable. Within 6 weeks of it starting, all services knew yet they did nothing, because fear of seaming racist trumped child rape. Their inaction left me exposed to this abuse for over 5 years yet i was treated as though I was the criminal.
I was not alone. This happened 1000's of times over to children up and down the country for years before me and years after me. People's lifes were destroyed. Many lifes were lost completly. People fought to expose the truth and begged for change. They said never again should this happen. People acted outraged, but what has changed?
Its still playing out again and again in different forms. Manchester arena, Southport, Nottingham and now Henry's senseless murder and the disgusting response from police, just to name a few.
How many times do we say never again while allowing the same thing to happen over and over in different forms? Why was my experiance not enough to learn from? Or the thousands of others victims? We were worth nothing at the time and clearly still arnt as the government's, police forces and institutions are still doing the same things and responding with the same thoughts that political correctness trumps everything, even child rape, terrorism and murder.
Stop insulting the victims living with the consequences of these ridiculous policies and ideology and actually start making changes.
Crime is crime, no matter who is doing it and racism is being used as a shield for people to hide behind while committing the worst crimes and used to manipulate situations to allow them to get away with what they are doing.
I want to see real changes being made where the law is upheld instead of being held to ransom over "fear of racism".
No one should ever have to face being treated as the criminal when they are the victim ever again, just because their perpetrators are a different race to them and everyone is more scared of being called racist than anything else. Its ridiculous this fear ever got to the levels it has, never mind persisted for so long, and the amount of life's it has now cost.
Wrong is wrong. No matter who does it.
