@Electroversenet While ARIA is exempt from FOI requests, they have to provide information under the following:
Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR). ARIA is obliged to comply with requests for "environmental information," such as projects relating to climate change or geoengineering.
@AceDailyX@MrBeast Basic maths and guarantees means that 50,000 a month for life is way better. especially if you’re young like most of the beast games participants are. 600,000 a year for 60 years or 5,000,000 once. Instant gratification vs intelligence.
@HalaJaber The classic “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter” if their father was Mohammed sidique khan would you still have the same view? They were both involved in “deadly attacks” that killed people.
@CraigMurrayOrg This is a good strategy for deterrent. It’s not like they’re being forced to illegally try and enter another country. Hopefully it will become more commonplace and people will stop making the trips. We should definitely employ that tactic here.
@implausibleblog They’re listening to the people of their country and pushing policies to stop a grossly generous system being abused. This is what the people across the country are shouting that they want. It’s not proximity to power it’s called democracy.
@labourlewis How would you provide a deterrent for abuses of our immigration/asylum system? A lot of people see this as a problem and it can’t just be ignored.
When a claimant travels through several countries to get to ours we have to look at why. Our system is too generous currently.
@PhilipProudfoot It’s almost as if trying to illegally enter a country carries risk. Who the hell knew? Here’s a strange thought, they could have not attempted the crossing and sought asylum in the countless number of European countries that you don’t have to cross a sea in a dinghy to reach.
