Remember Lakurawa? That's the terrorists organization that @POTUS first bombed, nearly a year ago. They were shaken but not broken and they just proved it to clear all doubts.

This last Friday, the terrorist organization reportedly kidnapped about 500 people from a town called Dekara, on the Borgu axis of Niger state

These are the first images the terror orgaization has posted since the mass kidnapping, and it appears most of the victims are elderly men and women, with children.

I think it's now fair to say the terrorists completely own Northern Nigeria now. If they can take this many people in one operation, kill Nigerian security operatives at will, take taxes from the indigenous population and frolic with high ranking government officials, i don't know what else is left.

MY ADDRESS TO MARK THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE 2027 PRESIDENTIAL AND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY CAMPAIGNS

Dear Compatriots,
Members of the Press,

Distinguished ladies and gentlemen,

Wednesday, 19 August 2026, marked the official start of the campaign period for the 2027 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

There is no doubt that this is a defining moment for our democracy. This moment gives Nigerians the opportunity to assess the records, ideas, and plans of those seeking their mandate to lead their country at a time of grave uncertainty in our rapidly changing world.

I consider myself quite privileged to be one of those seeking your mandate to deal with these challenges facing our country.

I enter this contest with one firm conviction: Nigeria can work, and Nigeria must work.

Nigeria faces several serious challenges. Some of them are indeed of existential proportions.

According to the IMF, 63%, or over 140 million Nigerians, live at or below the national poverty line, while humanitarian agencies estimate that 35 million people will need food assistance during the 2026 lean season. About 3.6 million Nigerians remain internally displaced, largely because of conflict and insecurity. Each year, millions of young people enter the labour market, yet too many struggle to find productive opportunities. Weak infrastructure, unreliable power, insecurity, and the excessive cost of doing business continue to burden households and constrain enterprise.

These are more than statistics. They reflect the daily realities of Nigerian families, farmers, workers, students, and businesses.

Yet I do not believe Nigeria lacks the ability to overcome these challenges. We have the people, resources, market, talent, and enterprise. What we must do now is turn these strengths into security, productivity, and shared prosperity.

LEADERSHIP MUST DELIVER RESULTS

My successful private-sector experience, studies in institutions of repute on policy and business matters, and my service as Governor of Anambra State have shaped my understanding of public leadership. Government must manage resources responsibly, set clear priorities, and measure the outcomes of its decisions. Public office is not a reward; it is a responsibility to the people.

In Anambra, I prioritised the foundations of long-term development: education, healthcare, infrastructure, fiscal discipline, and institutional capacity. I do not present that record as perfect, but as an experience from which Nigerians can draw their own conclusions.

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso brings a different but complementary governing experience.

As Governor of Kano State, he focused strongly on education, technical training, scholarships, infrastructure, and human-capital development. His administration’s investments in education and skills showed an understanding that the people are a state’s most important long-term resource.

Our experiences are different, but our conclusion is the same: Nigeria must invest in its people and manage public resources with discipline.

BUILDING AN ECONOMY THAT WORKS

Nigeria needs more than reactive reforms. We must focus on the questions that matter:

Are Nigerians better off than they were four years ago? Can they afford food, education, and healthcare? Can businesses produce, expand, and create jobs? Can young people find productive work? Can farmers work safely and get their produce to market?

Please pause and look at this casket.

Inside is not a statistic. It is a young evangelist—a son, brother, friend, and servant of God who dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel.

He returned to his hometown to bury a relative. He came home to mourn with his family. He never imagined that he would become the one lying in a casket.

He came home carrying grief, not a weapon.

Yet violence followed him home.

Behind this casket is a mother who will never hear her son’s voice again. A family that must now bury someone who came home to help bury another. A church that has lost a servant. A life filled with dreams, memories, prayers, and purpose.

Please do not scroll past this as just another tragedy.

There is a name behind this casket.
There is a family behind it.
There is a life behind it.

Psalm 34:18 says, “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted.”

Lord, draw near to this family. Comfort his mother, strengthen his loved ones, and uphold his church.

Our faith does not mean we should be silent. We will continue to pray, but we must also continue to call for justice, protection, and peace.

How many more caskets must we see before we understand that these are not numbers, but human beings created in the image of God?

May his life not be forgotten.

May his Gospel continue to speak.

And may the day come when Nigerian families no longer gather around caskets because of violence, but around tables filled with laughter, worship, thanksgiving, and peace.

Lord, have mercy on Nigeria.
Protect the innocent.
Comfort the brokenhearted.
Strengthen Your Church.
Bring peace to our land.

🚨PLIGHT OF NIGERIAN CHRISTIANS TODAY

You know a nation is irredeemable lost when terrorists can assemble Christians from nearly all the major tribes in Nigeria and compel them to make appeals for ransom in their individual native tongues.

One of the Tinubu supporters was having a discussion about Tinubu’s policies, telling people that Omotola Jalade was lying about the tax she had to pay for a movie, while also attacking Peter Obi with the usual APC lies. People in the barbershop knew I was a Peter Obi supporter, and they were surprised that I was engaging with him. One of them asked me why I wasn’t speaking up for Peter Obi. I said from everything he had been saying about PO, he hadn’t called him a thief. But I said since you people have involved me, I don’t need to sell PO’s achievements anymore. Instead, I told him that his candidate has been accused of being a drug dealer and a thief, and that his Chief of Staff was allegedly selling government positions. I told him these things are things you can’t accuse Peter Obi Of. He started with a bunch of lies, so I told the people in the barbershop to Google his claims and call me when any of them required my attention. I didn’t have to say anything before I left the barbershop the people there ended up exposing his lies themselves. Peter Obi has done the hard work by making defending him really easy for those of us who support him.

One of the speakers asked me why I was supporting someone over 60 years old in the person of Peter Obi suggesting that young people in Nigeria should go for a younger candidate

I replied that among all the candidates, Peter Obi has the CV that all young people should aspire for. As a young person, that should be the trajectory you should aspire for if you want to be a business or political leader. Amongst the current lineup of candidates, he is the most qualified.

The conversation of grooming a young person can start now as we head towards 2031 but as for 2027, he is the most qualified candidate.
