Luckily, we still have wilderness pockets around us in Islamabad where sights like these can be met, provided you enter the jungle with me much before the crack of dawn
“Indeed, the losers are those who lost themselves & their families on the Day of Resurrection.” ~ Quran (from 42:45)
Ppl label each other losers. Don’t want to be losers themselves. And yet when Allah mentions the real losers (khasireen) why don’t we feel the need to know more?
In stable societies, men serve as protectors not just for their families but of their wider community. They confront wrongdoing & protect the weak. When children are no longer safe walking to a local shop, it’s a sign smthg has gone deeply wrong at multiple levels.
the society that allows an 8 yr old child to be r*ped, murdered, and discarded just for walking to the local shop and the reactions are she shouldn't have gone there alone, is entirely collapsed. a society this rotten shouldn't exist. It should be burned to the ground.
I am not where my heart needs to be.
Everything around me, known for a lifetime feels strangely unfamiliar
while something unknown calls to me with the familiarity of home.

Sometimes you look back on life & realize how naive it was to believe we were ever in control. So much unfolds in ways we never planned. In the end, we are shaped by the ppl we meet, the places we pass thru, our life experinces, along with how we choose to respond to them.
This post mirrors much of what I’ve been experiencing in recent months. Its accuracy really caught me off guard. It’s like you open twitter & the first post you read is your own inner monologue that you haven’t shared with anyone.
Worlds apart but similar struggles…SubhanAllah!
I just had some bad news — one of those boring things where people are behaving in a way that is as surprising as it is disappointing, and where there is no obvious solution to a situation I'm finding very stressful indeed. All prayers to help me find the right way through this would be very much appreciated.
