When I started experiencing pain so horrible I had to be taken to the hospital they discovered a tumor on one of my ovaries. Although this situation is a bit different, when it was removed they put me on birth control. Doctors will always prescribe BC for any “female”problem.

Your period should hurt as much as it hurts to like take a bad dump. It’s a biological function that triggers pain receptors in the body. It should NOT leave you bedridden, highly medicated, and you definitely should not prefer a heating pad burning your skin off over a cramp.

Radfems: what do y'all think about the women who say any period pain at all is abnormal and women are all being brainwashed by big pharma to accept menstrual pain?
Some say that minor pain is normal but that seriously painful periods are a symptom of environmental or pharmaceutical poisoning. To be it sounds like a conspiracy theory but I do agree with their takes on medical misogyny. But I think it's very normal for the uterus (a muscular organ) to cramp as it sheds the uterine lining.
