Just making sure everyone knows that one of the stunners handing out awards tonight is @Outfest alum, Student Academy Award winner, and director of the phenomenal queer feature TAHARA…Olivia Peace.
One of @them's 'Favorite LGBTQ+ Movies of 2022' and a @nytimes Critic's Pick, Olivia Peace and @jzeidz's TAHARA is "one of the most original films in the coming-of-age subgenre in a long time." (@comingsoonnet)
Now on Prime Video, Apple TV, Vudu and DVD:

“Tahara” (2020) high up in the top films I’ve seen this year. We just watched. Loved. There are some really great movies being made. You just have to find them. This one is streaming now on Kanopy. Free with your library card.
The Academy has revealed this year's Student Academy Award winners. For the first time since 2019, student winners are invited to an in-person ceremony on Thursday, October 20, in Los Angeles.

Olivia Peace's Against Reality (in programme 3) has her using AI to portray her dreams and nightmares. It's somehow fun and unsettling at the same time.
A clever and emotionally investing film that really goes to show what the coming of age genre can be. There are so many stories of queer girls falling for their best friends (no matter how problematic they may be.) but I think this one by far takes the cake.
