Black History Month is not simply asking, “how can I remember and learn about Black people?” It is all of us asking, “how can we love Black people by seeing them, hearing them, relishing in them, and creating a world where Black people feel loved, inspired, and protected?”
We have burned down our evangelical witness. Burned it to the ground. But here is what I know. I know God can bring beauty from ashes. I believe He will raise up a people purified by the very fires we set. A people defined by Jesus Himself, not denomination nor political party.
to the lgbtq community: i’m so sorry if people have made you feel like there’s no place for you in the church. Jesus loves you. and i’m sorry for the people who poorly reflected that.
@jogdenUK Definitely an American thing. I’ve been told that TECHNICALLY “by accident” is correct, but everyone says “on accident” for sure. It kinda makes sense though because you don’t say “by purpose” 🧐 But yeah, we say addicting 🤦🏼♀️
Them: As a Christian, how can you support #BlackLivesMatter, knowing some of the things they represent?!
Also them: Just because I voted for President Trump doesn’t mean I support everything he represents.
To all the special-needs parents who have gone nearly 3 months without school, without therapy, without routine or structure or any kind of break.... you are the chosen ones. God bless each and every one of you.
