Say what you want Abt Mbappe he's good on shit like this. You'll never ever hear Messi say anything political cuz he's a desperate bag chaser with no morals same with Ronaldo
Some of my TERRIBLY DRAWN storyboards for I Love Boosters. Later- we did have an amazing artist re-do them, but planned through most of prep using these. It worked. You don't have to use AI to do this shit.
As someone who has spent 30 yrs talking 2 ppl- in music, interviews, & speeches- about a future in which the ppl democratically control the wealth created by our labor, Ive also attempted 2 write that w film. B4 I talk about the problems w making that happen, lets talk efficacy
The people who say [redacted] took the fun outta hip hop and/or isn’t the same w/o [redacted] on top really expose themselves as “rap” fans bc im having a blast with the genre rn lol. If you need billboard charts & radio to enjoy music then that’s a you problem brother
having compulsion to flip the camera to capture your own reaction to a literal fucking missile dropping down the street speaks to something v bad embedding itself in psyche of our species. reaction as performance, an unthinking bent towards individualism, click supremacy. scary.
Nobody who’s finding music themselves is claiming music is bad right now. Music is repetitive to you because you’re only following what’s mainstream. Either way, the solution is simple. Stream emerging artists
in they era u had to actually prove yourself & sell real hard copies. the way music was consumed & valued was way different on they come up. that breeds a different type of work ethic for an artist. 1 album sale is literally like 1500 streams today, the literal value of music isn’t the same to listeners today. you get ALL THE MUSIC IN THE WORLD for $12 a month, bruh that was the price of 1 ALBUM back then. the listener had higher standards back then now you just need 12 seconds of ya song to hit on tiktok & even after that niggas not checking for u. the consumer changed so artists work ethic changed . the WHOLE GAME changed. for better or for worse idk , but that’s jus where shit evolved
Reminder that the civil rights movement was not just random people who had enough one day. They were carefully and militantly trained political activists who deployed strategic forces to end Jim Crow segregation. Never forget them.
