Snuggle Up and Read was a great opportunity for our students to wear their pajamas and snuggle up with their favourite book in a reading nook created by grade 8 students. A great way to bring literacy to life. Thanks to our teacher librarian and grade 8s for organizing. @HWCDSB

Our countdown to Christmas this week involved Joy day and a visit from Santa as well as hat day, Christmas bling day, a concert, and sweater day. Thanks to student council for organizing the week and Parent Council for serving hot chocolate during Joy Day. @HWCDSB

It was a very Happy Halloween at OLOA, as students decorated pumpkins and danced at the Spook a Thon. #HappyHalloween

Students at OLOA wore yellow today to support Walk to School Day, to help save the environment. As students walked to school they were met with music playing and our Eco team cheering them on. Thank you to our Eco team and staff leaders for organizing this event. #hwcdsb

Our pizza day for grades FDK -4 students begins on Tuesday Oct. 17 and for grade 5-8 students begins on Thursday Oct. 19. Cash on line ordering is now closed.

Our Thanksgiving food drive for the Good Shepherd was a huge success thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our school community. This will go a long way in helping those in need.

OLOA grade 8 students presented a solemn demonstration of the Stations of the cross. What a beautiful way to prepare our hearts for Easter.

A loud CRUNCH was heard through out our hallways as staff and students took part in the Great Big Crunch in support of healthy eating. Thank you to our Health Action Team for organizing. #GreatBigCrunch

Student transportation is cancelled, and all HWCDSB schools, administration buildings, adult education centres and childcare centres are CLOSED today, Thursday, February 23, 2023, due to inclement weather.

The HWCDSB Virtual School will operate as per usual.
