@SEDSConnective@SEND_Network@JGjanegreenMBE How do I know whether my child's non-attendance is based on physical issues or other issues within the school that they can't cope with (bullying or physical environment etc)? How do I unpick it?
@SEDSConnective@SEND_Network@JGjanegreenMBE When is a good time to know when to seek support when my child's non-attendance becomes more frequent? And where would I even go to seek it?
I just wanted to say how great @JGjanegreen was presenting to NHS Sussex today - despite being ill plus technical issues. Exciting things happening/coming re #Hypermobility#EDS#HSD awareness in #neurodivergence pathways - things will get better!
@SEDSConnective I wasn't diagnosed as hEDS or ND yet when pregnant. I loved pregnancy but it felt like my bones were collapsing into each other with hEDS + relaxin combo. No one seemed to notice and my pn recovery was traumatic. After a few pn physio sessions was just left to sort it out myself.
It’s very easy to forget that the pain experienced by a child is real + to be believed. A child experiencing pain due to symptomatic hypermobility or physical health issues in #neurodivergence is just as likely to look strong + healthy as they are to look unwell/ill.#EDS#HSD
Taping, is it useful or useless ?
It's been around for about 30 years + very useful for symptomatic hypermobile joints, weakened muscles, ligaments. Every time I used to sprain my ankle or knee ligament I was sent away with absolutely NO support or even belief ..1/8
Nikki Dodd’s new documentary short shows how something as simple as plugging a fridge in on the street can, on a small scale, address hunger and reduce food waste at the same time. Watch here. https://t.co/6x6mZspYcl
Did you know people with symptomatic hypermobility #EDS#HSD can often struggle with food sensitivity?
New blog out + the current Guidance by NICE on multiplex allergy diagnostic testing for people with allergy that's difficult to diagnose https://t.co/bsApT6MPj4
Had the most amazing physiotherapy session with hEDS-aware Adam at Portland Physio in E. Grinstead, as recommended by @JGjanegreen and @SEDSConnective - I feel fantastic after just one visit!
