@Replit I am using C# also now: There are better and worse things compared with java. I cannot easily decide which is better and which is worse.
To give two examples, HashMaps are better in java compared to Dictionary, and getters / Setters are better in C#.
A department will start deploying Open Lowcode soon to replace their 50+ obsolete applications built by interns in the last 15 years. They were impressed by how frugal the software is: no license to buy, and small hardware is enough. #lowcode#javafx https://t.co/u6dsrk7SVf
@nocodedevs ____ is a game changer. In 18 months, ___ will be so has-been and .... will be the new fad, soon to be forgotten after ::: appears. As a reminder, there is only one real true concept every decade or so in IT. How much energy is wasted !
@nocodedevs Due to Covid restrictions, it is not easy for me to have lunch at work, and so I take a very light sandwich. I was tired at first but it seems my body got used to it.
@nowbuthow Old grumpy guy here: you can build anything that has been planned by the #nocode framework, which may be more than you think, and very good for a prototype. But at some point, you may hit a wall and realize you need to do real development.
@GrowthDaniel I beg to disagree for the entreprise space. Agreed, coding everything is a waste, but all #nocode in history has failed to deliver the "last 10%" of any significant application. Writing code in text is so powerful, and, if done well, cheap.
@tneogi Well, I understand #nocode for spreadsheet-like applications. For anything more ambitious, I think learning a programming language syntax is not the biggest hurdle you will face.
@startupschool#BuildSprint one-liner: Open Lowcode is the Linux of Enterprise software: cheap, powerful, and buzzwords-free. Replace this monster spreadsheet today, and decommission your ERP tomorrow. https://t.co/Rw2wBTGONs
@steve_dot_ Sounds like a shallow reason to drop coding, the most effective way to write complex rules. #lowcode gives #nocode - like experience when relevant but not only. You code Your strategic features. BTW Open Lowcode uses javadoc to keep doc in sync. Works OK. https://t.co/u6dsrjQi3H
Open Lowcode is the cheapest platform to build and run tailored software for any organization with access to a Linux server and an entry-level java developer #lowcode#nocode. We can kickstart your team in a day ( https://t.co/u6dsrjQi3H )
@nocodedevs Some good books:
- 1984 (Orwell)
- Sapiens - a brief history of mankind (Yuval Noah Harari)
- Non-Violent Communication (Rosenberg)
- The epic of Gilgamesh (because it is the oldest book)
- Characters (Theophrastus)
Those books are exceptional and in no way boring
@nocodedevs If I had to choose one, I think I would follow @elonmusk. Rockets, Electric cars, AI are enough to fill many lives. Plus he loves video-games.
@nocodedevs In Europe, IMHO Linkedin is the standard to digitalize one's professional network and keep in touch. Many people do not do twitter, especially in the 40-60 age range (the age of people with power 😉 ). And Linkedin features are good enough.
Sorry to be contrarian here.
@nyike With all big tech investing on low-code, do you think there is still room for an open-source solution ? I believe being captive customer of a commercial cloud low-code solution may turn very nasty.
