Nigeria's latest World Bank data puts life expectancy at about 55 years.
The global average is about 73 years.
That is an almost 18-year gap.

In a country with enormous human and natural resources, the average Nigerian is not even expected to live as long as the average person in much of the world.

One study stated that Nigerians are just being born only to die without actually living.

3 years into your presidency, Nigerians are not becoming healthier, safer, wealthier or even living dignified lives, we are only living simply to survive hardship.

The UNDP's 2025 Human Development Report ranks Nigeria 164th out of 193 countries.

164TH. A huge disgrace and failure.

The 2025 Numbeo Quality of Life Index places Nigeria at the bottom of its African country rankings, with particularly poor scores for purchasing power, safety and healthcare.

That should make every policymaker uncomfortable. Because Nigerians are not asking government to make life perfect.
They are only asking for the basics.

Food they can afford. Hospitals that work.
Schools that educate. Jobs that pay. Electricity that stays on. Roads that are usable. Security that actually protects them.
And an economy where earning money does not automatically mean losing purchasing power.

Instead, the cost of simply existing as a Nigerian keeps rising.

The question is no longer just:
Is Nigeria's economy growing?
The question now is:
Is Nigeria becoming a better place for Nigerians to be alive?

Because what is the point of collecting more taxes if the people paying those taxes cannot afford a decent meal?

What is the point of announcing economic growth if families are cutting meals?
What is the point of celebrating higher government revenue if healthcare remains inaccessible?
What is the point of telling Nigerians to endure today for a better tomorrow when tomorrow keeps getting more expensive?

Mr. Tinubu, governance should ultimately be measured in human outcomes.
Not how many billions entered government coffers.
Not how many loans were approved.
Not how many policies were announced.

Measure it by the life of the ordinary Nigerian.

Can Nigerians afford to eat?
Can they afford to even treat malaria?
Can the children afford to go to school?
Can the youths find work?
Can they travel without fear?
Can they afford rent?
Can they save?

Can Nigerian youths even dream?
Can we just even dream Mr. Tinubu?

Can we live long enough to enjoy the future we are being asked to sacrifice for?
Can we have a country where we can just at least LIVE?
