I used to despise politics and everyone who got involved in it. Back then, I would say, “All politicians are the same - their ways are filled with deceit, and their lips with empty promises.”

My mindset changed when I got to know Mr. JJ Omojuwa.

I must confess that I haven't really seen many people in public life whose humility has impressed me the way yours has. And that alone has been enough to draw my attention to you. They say the dove is a symbol of humility, but I can confidently say that the dove is still learning at your feet and asking to be as humble as you are.

I speak of a man whom I have seen show genuine concern for his nation and a desire to contribute to its growth; a man who, in my experience, has consistently shown concern for people who may not always have a voice.

I speak of a man I love very dearly. A friend. A father figure. And, to me, a man with many of the exceptional qualities one would hope to find in someone committed to public service.
