After 18 years, itโs time to say goodbye to Chelsea. I arrived as a nine-year-old with a dream, and I leave as a man whoโs lived that dream in ways I never imagined. This journey tested me, lifted me, and strengthened me. To every teammate, coach, staff member, and supporter, thank you for shaping me. I gave everything I had, and Iโm proud of the person this club helped me become. To the young players: the path wonโt always be smooth. But stay ready, stay positive, and keep your faith. Godโs timing is always right. Thank you all, truly, with love and gratitude.
Inside danfo this morning, the bus fare was 800 Naira. The woman beside me stretched 700 Naira to the conductor who rejected it immediately with โe gba owo yin pada jare. 800 ni motoโ.
The woman replied โna 700 I get my brother, no vex, my uncleโ
He didnโt let her land as he had already shifted attention to other passengers. He still replied โmama, mio gbo pa. E fun mi ni 800 mi. Eyin le nra epo si moto fun mi ni?โ
The woman kept begging, he also insisted on his full 800 naira while insulting her. The insults were getting to me and since I already gave him 1k and my 200 Naira change was with him, I said โcondor, remove her remaining 100 Naira from my change, give me 100โ.
The woman looked at me with bad left eye reading โtalo ran werey eleyi niseโ. She didnโt even let me read meaning to her eyes finish before she shouted โuncle, donโt pay for me. I didnโt ask for your money. Because of 100 Naira, he has insulted me enough and you still want to pay him. Didnโt you hear all the insults? Lai lai. If he canโt accept abeg, he should getawayโ.
I looked at the condor, โalaye, 200 naira mi da?โ He gave me my money and requested that 700 naira from her. She said โnever. Upon all the insults wey you give me? If I pay you 700 after those insults, make I dieโ.
The conductor started shouting and ready to drag her down at the next bus stop but he no fit. She said that the insults have reduced the money to 500 Naira and she stretched the 500 to him. I was just laughing. I have never seen monetized insults before.
Another passenger now added that what if the conductor start praying for her, will he get his money back? She said โYes, he should work for his balanceโ.
I swear, this guy prayed for her from Anthony to Onipanu to collect his 200 Naira.
Look at where choosing higher wages/week landed this talent.
Money ain't everything.

@livescore Yes. Both comments are true.
As at the time Aston Villa lost to @Arsenalfc, they were the best team in the league and till now
Meanwhile, #Chelseafc are the best club in #London. No doubt about that.
He doesn't say @Chelseafc are the best team in England but "in London"๐
Umar Bago, the Governor of Niger State, has removed all Fulani district heads (traditional rulers) in the state and replaced them with chiefs. He said the decision was prompted by the rising cases of kidnapping. According to him, when kidnapped victims are released after ransom is paid, they often identify Fulani as those responsible for the abductions.
He also stated that whenever there is a dispute between the indigenous people of Niger State and some Fulani communities, some of those involved allegedly invite their relatives from neighboring countries to join the conflict.
In addition, there have been growing concerns over land grabbing involving some Fulani groups in Niger State.
It was in 1932. Grrrrrrin grrrrrrin, the phone rang. The Minister of Defence, Sir George Pearce, was the one calling. โGood morning sir,โ greeted Major G.P.W. Meredith who received the call. โMorning Major! Listen attentively. Some of our veterans who fought and returned from the World War were settled in the western area of the country and theyโve taken up farming as their retirement vocation. However, theyโre being disturbed by some flightless birds known as emus. Get a unit of soldiers and go wipe those emus out!โ
โConsider it done sir!โ Major G.P.W. Meredith said, before dropping the phone receiver.
I wasnโt there but the conversation must have gone roughly like that. Anyways, the major took his soldiers and off they went.
The first battle took place on November 2, 1932. The soldiers spotted about 50 emus near Campion and set up their machine guns. Kikikikikikikikiki, ratatatatatat, they started firing. The emus actually waited for them to start firing before scattering in all directions. The birds were surprisingly fast and agile, and only a few were hit. There were about 20,000 emus in the area then and they just killed less than 50.ย
Two days into the mission, the soldiers tried a new plan. They waited to ambush a huge flock of the birds, holding their fire until the birds were very close. "At least, we should kill nothing less than a thousand this time around," they thought. When the birds were close enough, they opened fire. Unfortunately for them and fortunately for the emus, one of the two machine guns jammed, and they only managed to kill a few birds. Next, they tried shooting from a moving truck. You know, the type we watch in movies? Well, that didn't work either.
Over the next few weeks, the soldiers continued their battle against the emus. They chased the birds, fired their guns, and tried different tactics, but the emus seemed unstoppable. They broke into small groups, making them hard to target. They were tough, resilient, and seemed to know just how to dodge the bullets. In fact, according to records, Major G.P.W. Meredith was impressed by the emusโ ability to survive bullet wounds: โThey can face machine guns with the invulnerability of tanks,โ he said.
Major Meredith and his men were frustrated. They had expected an easy victory but found themselves in a strange and difficult war. After almost a month of trying, they had only managed to kill less than 1000. Realizing they were fighting a losing battle, the soldiers finally retreated. The war, which was later known as โEmu War,โ was over. The soldiers returned to their barracks. They refuse to go out and embarrass themselves again.
The government later introduced a bounty scheme. Farmers or hunters who could kill emus were rewarded. This worked only a little too. The farmers later resorted into making good fences that kept the emus out. That, ladies and gentlemen was The Great Emu War of 1932 in Australia
