Day 6 of posting on X to raise the money for my dad's cancer treatment. Please, help save my dad. 🙏🏽💔
He has been battling with stage 4 oropharyngeal cancer (cancer of the throat) and is currently a patient at LUTH.
Enugu State, 2021.
The Nigerian Police disrupted ongoing church service and arrested every single male worshipper under the pretense of "looking for IPOB". They were taken to an unknown destination and till today their families have never seen or heard from any of them.
It is devastating to witness innocent men, women, and children killed in their sleep for no other reason than what they believe.
It cuts even deeper when you realize the victims are not just fellow believers, but your own flesh and blood💔😭
Calvinists, like Caio, typically hold that spiritual death entails total inability, so regeneration (the impartation of new life) must precede faith. When they encounter “come … that you may have life” or “believe … that you may have life,” they must either:
1. Treat the “life” as merely future/eschatological (so that present regeneration can still be placed before faith), or
2. Soften the purpose clauses so that the “coming” is the result of prior life rather than its condition.
Both moves are textually forced. John regularly uses zōē / zōē aiōnios for the present spiritual life that begins at faith. Separating “eternal life” from “new life/rebirth” in these verses creates a distinction the Evangelist does not make.
The refusal in 5:40 is presented as moral and volitional, not as the inevitable outcome of an unregenerate nature that lacks the capacity to respond to the very revelation that is supposed to produce life.
Further, the stated purpose of the Gospel itself (20:31) is that the written testimony would produce belief leading to life.
If regeneration were required before one could believe the testimony, the purpose statement would be false or incomplete. The text never supplies that missing prior step.
The consistent pattern is invitation → response of faith → reception of life. Jesus presents Himself as the source of life and calls people to come, look, believe, feed, drink, etc., with the explicit promise that those who do so will live / have life.
The Calvinist ordo requires the opposite sequence (life → ability to come/believe). That sequence is not derived from these verses; it is read into them.
In short, the insistence that John 5:40 and 20:31 must refer to “eternal life” in a manner that protects pre-faith regeneration collapses under the purpose clauses, the parallel uses of zōē throughout the Gospel, and the explicit order “believe … that you may have life.”
The life in view is the new spiritual life that begins when one comes to Christ in faith—the very rebirth Calvinists place on the other side of the equation. @ReformedCaio
I just heard a story and my body is shaking…
A 13-year old boy in Maiduguri was selling sugarcane in a wheelbarrow for his father.
Inside the scorching sun, he decided to push his wheelbarrow to a nearby tree for shade & for him to rest for a while.
As he pushed his wheelbarrow tired, he mistakenly brushed the front of a parked car & the headlamp fell off. He looked around & couldn’t find the owner. His conscience didn’t let him walk away from the car. So he waited for the owner who happened to be praying in a nearby mosque.
The owner finished his prayers & found this 13-year old boy and the damage he has done. He called the police and ordered the boy be put in prison.
Recently, this 13-year old boy just got released from prison, after spending 47 years in prison, at the age of 60 years.
At this point, I broke down in tears.
He was literally moved from one prison to the other all over Nigeria in the course of this 47 years in prison.
He only got released because a governor granted him pardon.
May Nigeria never happen to you.
"When they come to slaughter us tonight, run to the Israeli border as fast as you can and don't look back."
I was 13 years old.
My town was under siege. No electricity. No water. We crawled out of the bomb shelter to pick dandelions because we had nothing else to eat. The Muslim militias and PLO were closing in. Tomorrow was the attack.
So I dressed in my best Easter dress. I wanted to be pretty when they came to kill us.
My father read Psalms: "I shall walk through the valley of death and I will not fear."
My parents told me: We will create a distraction. You run to the Israeli border. Don't look back.
That's what we were facing. That's what Lebanon became for Christians.
The West watched. No one came.
I survived to tell this story. So many didn't.
A Humble Prayer Request from the Mission Field
Dear beloved brethren in Christ,
If you are reading this message today, I ask you with all my heart to pause for just a moment and whisper a prayer for me, my team, and every missionary and evangelist who is tirelessly proclaiming the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, especially here in Northern Nigeria.
Every day we walk into villages where fear has become a way of life. We have comforted widows whose husbands were murdered for their faith, prayed with children who have become orphans overnight, and stood beside believers who have lost everything except their hope in Christ. Many times we travel knowing that we may not return home. Yet we continue, because the love of Christ compels us.
There are nights when the sound of gunfire echoes through our communities, and there are days when the burden feels almost too heavy to carry. But in those moments, we remember the words of our Lord:
> "I will never leave you nor forsake you." — Hebrews 13:5
That promise gives us the strength to keep going.
Please pray that the Lord will surround us with His divine protection, fill us with unwavering courage, and grant us His grace and mercy as we continue to preach His Gospel. Pray that every missionary on the frontlines will remain faithful, joyful, and steadfast, no matter the cost.
The enemies of the Gospel may try to silence us through persecution, violence, and intimidation, but they cannot stop the work of God.
As the Apostle Paul declared:
> "The word of God is not bound." — 2 Timothy 2:9
By His grace, we will continue to carry the Good News to the ends of the earth until every heart has the opportunity to hear the saving name of Jesus Christ.
Please do not forget us in your prayers. Your prayers strengthen weary hands, encourage discouraged hearts, and remind us that we are not standing alone.
May the Lord bless you abundantly for remembering those who serve on the mission field.
In Christ alone,
Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo
THANK GOD HE SURVIVED
On Tuesday, July 21st, Bwos Pam Fom spoke to our team about an attack that had killed two people in his community that same afternoon.
Less than 24 hours later, he became a victim himself.
Fom is from a village approximately 20-30 miles southeast of Jos, the capital of Plateau State — a community he says has suffered dozens of Christian deaths and widespread land seizures at the hands of terrorists.
On Wednesday, July 22nd, Fom had spent the entire day in Jos, comforting a bereaved relative alongside family members and neighbors. On his way back in the early evening, he stopped at his farm to pick fresh corn for his pregnant wife and two children.
He didn’t know armed men were already hiding in the tall grass surrounding the farm.
Within minutes, they opened fire with automatic rifles, forcing the group of five men to scatter for their lives. As he ran, Fom tripped over tangled grass and fell to the ground. Exposed and unable to move quickly, he became an easy target. The gunmen turned their fire on him.
A bullet — consistent with a 7.62x39mm round used in AK-style rifles — shattered his knee and lodged deep in his thigh.
By God’s grace, Fom survived. He is now recovering at a hospital in Jos, but his fight is not over. He needs over N750,000 for emergency surgery to remove the bullet and repair his shattered leg. Without it, he faces amputation — a procedure that will still cost him money he does not have.
With his ancestral village and farms already seized and occupied in previous attacks, Fom is left with an impossible choice: sell the small plot of land his family now lives on, or lose his leg.
You can help.

MUSLIM TIKTOKER TURNS TO CHRIST AFTER SEEING JESUS THREE TIMES IN HIS DREAMS
He had millions of views. A loyal following. A life built on his faith and his platform. But at night, something kept happening that he could not explain. Three times, he dreamed of the same figure. A man in white. Eyes full of peace. Arms open wide. He woke up shaking every single time. “I tried to ignore it,” he admitted. “But you cannot ignore Him when He keeps coming back.”
The third dream broke him. He says the man spoke his name and said, “I have been waiting for you.” That morning, he found a Bible, opened it for the first time, and wept for hours. He knew his decision would cost him followers, friends, maybe even family. He made it anyway. Weeks later, he stood in water and was baptized, telling his camera through tears: “I did not find Jesus. Jesus found me.”
His story is now spreading across the world, reminding millions that God can reach anyone, anywhere, even through a dream in the middle of the night. No algorithm, no platform, no fear of man can stand in the way when Christ calls a heart home. Has God ever spoken to you in a way you could not explain?

Sen. John Fetterman tells Zohran Mamdani to "fix a pothole," blasting the NYC mayoral candidate for weighing in on foreign policy:
“Now you have the mayor of a city. You’re a mayor, dude. You’re a mayor. You can fix a pothole. You can take out the trash. But you can’t order people to arrest anybody any more than I could. I couldn’t have him arrested if he came to Pennsylvania. It’s a joke, and he’s a clown. He also said that Netanyahu is not welcome in New York. You can’t say that any more than I can say, ‘Mayor, you’re not welcome in Pennsylvania.’ So sit down. I know you’re a clown, and you’re just going to pander to the fringe because that’s part of your base. I know you’re angry at Netanyahu because he killed a lot of people you admire, whether it’s Sinwar, Nasrallah, or Qaani in Iran. He’ll only criticize the prime minister of Israel, but he never criticizes Hamas. He never criticizes Hezbollah or Iran. I’ve never heard the mayor condemn Iran for killing 30,000 or 40,000 of its own young people who were simply asking for democracy in their country.”

Everywhere is silent while bandits massacre 23 farmers in Sauna/Ruwan Gora community, Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State. More than 50 people have been hospitalized, the majority of them women and children.
This attack happened in a village near the hometown of Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle. The Northwest is gradually becoming a graveyard, yet the suffering of its people continues to receive little attention.
