Then I asked him why. His answer stayed with me: both his parents had lost their jobs. He didn’t want to drop out. He wanted a certificate and a way to make an honest living. This was how he was paying for it.
That conversation is why we pushed for NELFUND. The President had approved it, but no appropriation had been made — no money. I took the MD to Mr President, he took it to the Council, and the funds were released from our recoveries.
NELFUND has now reached about 1.6 million students.
And we are not simply pushing money out for anyone to loot. We are building a fraud risk assessment platform around it. Cross the line — including the institutions handling these funds — and we will come after you.
The talent in our young people is real. What they’ve lacked is a legitimate way to use it.

National Anthem – Common Errors Alert!
Let’s get it right!
Here’s the correct wording of our National Anthem:
Stanza 1
Nigeria, we hail thee,
Our own dear native land,
Though tribes and tongues may differ,
In brotherhood we stand,
Nigerians all, are proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland.
Stanza 2
Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign,
In peace or battle honour’d,
And this we count as gain,
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain.
Stanza 3 (National Prayer)
O God of all creation,
Grant this our one request:
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed,
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.
📢 Let’s sing it right, with pride and unity!

@ArewaFactsZone There is nowhere in the government release that says JAMB is no longer required. The new policy only relaxes the requirement for a credit pass in Mathematics for non science programmes.
Welcome to AUGUST, the month of Happiness and New Things. Our God, the Almighty One is making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wastelands for you IJN. (Is. 43:19)
Rev Dr Israel AKANJI, FAR, President, NBC.
May our path be double-lit,
May our joys arrive in pairs.
Happy Birthday to you—the one who is both "I" and "we."
Happy birthday to the king who shares his throne—
For even heaven knows twins are God's favourite work of art.
I am the one who is two, and twice as blessed...4/4
I am the one who arrived with a shadow made of flesh
My first friend wore my face before we knew our names.
Ìbejì, ọmọ àrà—the world calls us "mystery,"
but I say: I am the question and the echo of the answer. ...1/4
Today is my birthday, but the cake bears twin flames.
I blow out my candles—his breath stirs the smoke.
Let them marvel at our mirrored footsteps,
but I know the truth: we are not halves.
We are two full suns sharing one sky. ...3/4
