I really fear APC is methodically dismantling Nigeriaโs democracy.
First, they killed presidential debates. In 2023, Tinubu and the APC simply refused to show up for debates. Festus Keyamo made it official, no selective TV debates, no direct scrutiny. Now in 2026, thereโs no indication of interest for issue-based debates.
Tinubu has announced he wonโt be going to many states to campaign in person. According to their 2027 rally timetable, Tinubu will only appear in about 12 states out of 36 + FCT.
If they wonโt debate and wonโt campaign properly, what exactly are they offering Nigerians in 2027?
A litre of fuel in Libya costs โฆ32, while the minimum wage in the country is $208, which is roughly โฆ276,000. In Saudi Arabia, a litre of fuel costs approximately โฆ823, while the estimated monthly minimum wage is โฆ1.4 million. Norway, another oil-producing country, provides its citizens with numerous benefits funded by the proceeds from its oil revenues. In Nigeria, however, the minimum wage is โฆ70,000, while a litre of fuel costs between โฆ1,300 and โฆ1,900 in some places. That minimum wage amounts to a mere $52, a young chap flipping burgers at McDonald's in the US makes more than a Nigerian bank manager. Anyone earning โฆ100,000 a month in Nigeria is still struggling to make ends meet and may be closer to the poverty line than their counterparts in these countries. But does the President care? How does he even sleep at night, knowing that millions of Nigerians are struggling to survive in a country blessed with abundant natural resources?
To Nigerians supporting this bad governance: โyou will serve these politiciansโ children, carry their bags for them, and your children will still be serving their childrenโs children.โ
unless you wake up..

A colloquium is an academic conference, seminar, or formal meeting where experts, scholars, or students gather to discuss a specific topic, present research, and engage in question-and-answer sessions.
In Nigeria, every political rally is a colloquial colloquium
"Whenever I remember that Monday Okoebholo won Asue Ighodalo and Olumide Akpata to become the Governor of Edo State, I kneel down and weep.
Asue Ighodalo and Olumide Akpata are two of the top 20 lawyers in Nigeria, if not top ten.
Distinguished themselves in academics, legal practice and business.
Asue co-founded Banwo and Ighodalo while Olumide helped build Templars with his cousin Oghogho Akpata.
For context,
Banwo and Ighodalo handled Dangote Refineryโs IPO and also the private placement. Deals worth billions of dollars.
Templars once won a $2.5 Billion case.
These law firms print tens of millions of dollars annually in earnings from just professional fees.
It would take a thousand Mondays to make one Olumide/Asue.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Any day could have become the Governor of Edo State. Any day but Monday. ๐
My condolences to the people of Edo." Desire Meziem
Do you know that Nigeria spends more money servicing the air fleet of the failed calamity Tinubu @officialABAT than it spends on maintaining the entire NAF @NigAirForce fleet?

๐จ BREAKING: Over 1,000 Islamic clerics are reportedly calling for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to go, as they voice concerns over the state of the nation.
The life of Messi is a clear example of how far a person can go when they come from humble beginnings but are given the opportunity, environment and support to grow and excel.
It makes me wonder how many Messis Nigeria has produced but never discovered because they were never given the chance to develop their talents.
Hopefully, one day, we will have a government that understands that investing in the upbringing, education and development of our young people is not charity. It is an investment in the future of Nigeria.
Happy retirement Lionel Andrรฉs Messi
