@Tuns999@IkejaElectric Funny thing is, I called the mbh company now and they said Ikeja Electric is the one who haven’t provided them with SIM card for the meter. That is the reason they haven’t come to install.
@obyezeks It’s so sad that our so called president was part of the fight for democracy yet he has pocketed the judiciary and legislative system of the same country. Will posterity judge? I don’t know anymore 💔🚶🏻♂️
*MPC strikes again*
The Central Bank Governor has just announced the outcome of the most recent meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee. A few interesting decisions that signal that the MPC are still spooked by sticky inflationary pressures and external headwinds.
I had expected a symbolic 25bp increase in the MPR to 27%. The MPC has opted for a 50bp increase to 27.25% further tightening what was already a very tight monetary environment. One move that was unexpected was the decision to further choke the banking space with a 500bp increase in the CRR for Commercial Banks and 200bp increase for Merchant Banks. It has become obvious that the economy is creating liquidity faster than the CBN can mop up and until the growth in Money Supply tames, they will continue to struggle in this regard.
This is horrible news for borrowers and especially for the manufacturing sector who have been struggling under the current economic environment. Expect banks to send letters further increasing borrowing rates this week.
It is important to pay attention to the key headwinds - fuel prices are going to push headline inflation back upwards and chatter around power cost increasing further will further exacerbate these pressures. The currency remains under pressure with street prices increasing by N100/$ and 200/£ since the last MPC meeting.
Tighten your belts folks.. It is about to rain! Bring out your umbrellas.

Dear @IkejaElectric you gave us 20hrs light for 1 day and immediately switched us to Band A. After that day, we haven’t had up to 12hrs of power supply per day yet we are still on Band A. @NERCNG
Dear @DStvNg , so with my N12,500/per month subscription that will become N15,700/month on my next subscription I can’t watch a champions league semi-final match? My decoder and dish are up for sale incase you have a buyer. It was a pleasure doing business with you over the years
Dear @IkejaElectric I can see on your website that my area is a Band B customer according to the tariff. We are entitled to 16hours power supply per day but we barely get 6hours power supply a day. Sometimes it can even be less than 2hours per day. What is actually the problem?
