My brothers and sisters, the world slanders us. None of their organisations give as much as we do but they keep lying, saying we do nothing for society.

This is unfair and painful.

But it's still not enough reason to disobey our Lord. We need to maintain the secrecy of our charity. Our left hand shouldn't know what the right hand is doing.

Let them say what they like.

We are not serving them. We are not doing it for their applause.

The presence of absence of their applause is immaterial.

Let us take comfort in that the Lord knows. And the people we help are blessed by us.

This is more than enough consolation.

We must not brag about our charity. It's sinful.
